When my lad was a nipper I trained him to point in to an empty room and say "Who's That Sad Little Boy?" He could only have been 4 at the time. My mate's Mrs thinks the house is haunted to this day... 1

WILF 50,594
Sorry to lower the tone, but have you checked your loft? The middle gable in old semis is not normally sealed very well and you get a lot of air travel between buildings........if air can travel so can sound. Make sure you have everything sealed so that no air can travel, that will help a fair bit. Anyway........carry on gents......

beany01 223
Been in that situation and its shit, really shit. I had a little old lady next door, she went in a home and the council brought the semi bungalow off the family. Moved in a 'disabled' wanker and his mrs. She done voluntary work at a dogs home and brought the worst home with her, up to about 6 of them. Howling and barking constantly while they were out up to 5 hours a day. Also 3-4 nights a week had the grandkids round and full blast karaoke. I tried putting up sound proofing and a layer of plasterboard on top, but the walls were thin and the noise still came through. They still werent interested, I was just causing trouble apparently, so contacted the council. The dogs were quieter, but the tit decided he would slam the doors early and late at night because I worked shifts. Really wanted to lose my cool, but if I went and slapped a 'disabled' person I would look the bad guy. If you start reporting it to the council, it will be logged, and if you ever move, you will have to legally tell them. Whos going to buy a house with screaming neighbours??? They were never going to move out of 'their' nice free bungalow, and luckily the dogs had quietened down, so officially the noise problem was better. I then part exchanged it for a brand spanker detached place. Best thing I ever did. Ok, the mortgage was a lot higher, but it was worth every penny. My neighbours now are all decent people, pleasure to live here. You shouldnt have to move, but the council wont do bugger all, you would just end up kicking the crap out of someone, and once you start after months of misery and frustration you wont want to stop. Not worth getting locked up and stuffing your life up. Edited March 26, 2018 by beany01

I'm going to lose it and crack an unfortunate bloke who's at the house party. That's going to open up a can of worms though, either the police will get involved and that's something i don't want as I've got previous. And i don't want to cause shit for my Mrs as i work away Mon-Fri. I've got a family to think of now, if i was home alone it would have been sorted a long time ago.
