Charlie himself and Roy Lupton don't have any experience in running dogs what so ever, don't get me wrong I love to watch this YouTube channel I enjoy all feildsports and have done most myself from falconry to ferreting to fishing on the fly to pigeon shooting on the stubble from running dogs on the lamp to terrier work with the hunt, but I hate it how out of all the field sports it's us lurcher lads that are frowned upon

Thanks for this. I was just contacted by AWL chair Jayne Moyseson the same subject a few moments ago. I am editing this week's show right now so I'll just ping you the same email I sent her:

We had to pot down years of deerstalker Paul Childerley's ugly relationship with a few specific lurcherman into one short outburst from him. In the past, the conflict between them has been violent. I wish we had the resources to look deeper into the subject and I am sorry it looks like we are having a go at all lurcherwork.

Theres a shoot around 40 miles from here that I have some permission on. A lad who does a bit of foxing with the rifle had a drive around over the last few evenings to see what the score is. 3 dead foxes left in hedge bottoms. Well somebody has been doing his job for him. Apart from the fact that the dickheads with dogs had no permission and had driven the feck out of the crops. Outcome is the farmer is pissed off and talked of pulling the plug on the shoot. it's smoothed over now, but any lurcher work permission I had is out the window.

 

We can moan all we like about being the whipping dog of the field sports world, but there are those amongst us that are right royally fecking it up for everybody.

 

No area of field sport is without its element of neanderthals who seem determined deny how each others sports need to evolve. And like all dinosaurs they deserve to die out. But I fear they are going to take us all with them.

Where's the video about cleaning up after the c**ts that can't shoot properly? I know a few lads that have blown jaws off of deer trying for a head shot. Or legs of foxes....?

 

Just recently at the shoot I work on we found a fallow doe with a broken leg, she was culled and when dressed out there was a .308 round in her leg. Her rear leg too ffs, what was the c**t aiming at.

Ive no experience with cwd but the fact that the buck they shot had a broken tusk & they had just finished the rutt is it not likely that it got cuts scars in a fight with another buck??? Why did he automatically assume dogs??? Ffs !!!!

Dear sirs,

After watching a video from your channel I have attached the youtube under.

That deer could have been hurt by any means not just lurcher or sighthounds I do not think your presenter knew what he was talking about as if by any means that deer had beed ran with lurchers or sighthounds and it recieved a broken leg it would have been dead I can assure you it would not have got away,

I would love you to answer me some questions please for all hunting people right across UK.

1. Has your man in the video any experience in running dogs or has he seen a dog run a deer.

2. Did your man in the video just make the assumption that it had been ran with Lurchers or sighthounds.

3. Did your man in the video see the the deer ran with Lurchers or sighthounds.

4. Is it not heard enough hunting in our great country these days without someone making acquisitions about another mans sport ( explained how he knew the deer was ran with Lurchers or Sight hounds please)

5. I thought all hunters loved country life and all hunting and support all hunting Explain why you would even put that in a hunting video without evidence please

6. if you have not seen the deer ran with Lurchers or sighthounds will you give all hunters an apology for really making bad press about the hunting with lurchers or sighthounds I thought we were all on the same side but really you were selling a new rifle were you any comments about another mans sport must be backed up with proof.

Sirs I do want a reply to everyone of my questions please and if you do not have proof of the deer being ran with any dog I would like to see a public apology to all hunters not only the Lurcher and sighthound feternety for misleading all hunters for the sale of a rifle.

2. Did your man in the video just make the assumption that it had been ran with Lurchers or sighthounds. Yes - based on his experience of deer run with bull lurchers.

3. Did your man in the video see the the deer ran with Lurchers or sighthounds. No

There is an argument going on in the countryside about illegal dogwork. We do not have the resources to cover this fully but we were able to highlight the argument with credibility in this film
