It’s so strange because Middle Eastern cease fires normally last so long, especially when Israel’s involved.

They can’t help themselves they seem to be able to operate outside the rules? I don’t know the ins and outs but I know I good few Irish lads who go have been over to Lebanon on peacekeeping missions (I’m fairly sure in involves some playing cards for months on the most part) but when does the situation require they should act? Or better yet get the f**k out of there

Fact is, they would  get wiped out in 5 minutes…..not saying that to be smart, I think it’s just a fact.

Isreal is a war fighting nation with vast Experince and all those poor lads in the peacekeepers have ever done is paint walls in Athlone as have all their peers before them.

Thats not casting aspersions on the lads personal quality’s it’s just saying the Irish Defence Force has only ever been in one fight 50 years ago and they lost that, they are badly equipped, have no air support or naval capability and they never fought a battle they won……Isreal would make mincemeat of them and not even break stride.

Them lads shouldn’t be out there so politicians can play “look at friendly Paddy, aren't we nice guys”

Historically Irish regiments and their soldiers are top class, but that is when they are afforded premier league style support, equipment, training and are educated and lead by experienced war fighters…..these lads are with a Sunday league club.

100% agree WILF can’t argue with that. 100 men of 60 from South Armagh would more than likely give a better account of themselves. They should start planning to get out of there by the looks of things. I think it’s time for the rest of the world to step back. Cut all financial and military aid to Isreal and whoever is backing Iran and its allies to do the same. Let them take their gloves off ring the bell and let them at it and to the victor the spoils. I think without all the money and weapons Isreal is being provided with we would see a different story play out. I reckon these Iranians could be good lads to scrap and fight like gutter rats I don’t think they’ll lie down any time soon. They’ve been bombed to bits and are still willing and able. Have the Israelis really been tested yet?

100%, the irish army have never fired a shot in anger, now i dont mean halfhounds Irish army, now the royal irish armies are are something else, highly decorated battle hardened men
