Do we live in a society where smoking weed has become socially acceptable? I gave it up a few years back but always smoked in the garden...I was walking back from the park with the kids yesterday and there was 3 young girls...no older than 14-15 sitting there passing a joint around.

There's a pub about 5 minutes from my house...quite a clicky little shit hole and they all stand out side smoking it...standing at the bus stop a few weeks back, about 8 in the morning and some bloke was standing there smoking it as casually as other people smoke cigs

It just seems to be the done thing these days...people have just given up trying to hide the fact that they're smoking it

I'm not slagging anybody but personally I just think it shows what a pile of shit British society has become that nobody thinks anything of someone smoking drugs in public.......its a wankers turnout

the gateway effect is just a lame catchphrase, part of the war on drugs, load of rubbish, in reality not many will choose heroin if there is no weed available, most street dealers tend to stick with

I stick to heroin, goes through the system quicker ?

An old pal of mine from more years back than I care to remember, was telling me a few months back, he was caught by the police red handed smoking weed they just told him to put it out and smoke it at home, he never even got searched. The police went on to tell him he's not worth the paper work involved in taking him in for it. This guy is in his 50's whether or not they would have had the same attitude with a teenager who knows.

That's fairly normal practice now... If you are searched and they find a small amount they will just confiscate it and say no more.

Dont know about that, i know a fair few folk that had driving ban after being caught with or smoking it

Same here know plenty who been raided or stopped for other things and been prosecuted for possession of it even if it's tiny amounts its only fines but still abit harsh imo

That's harsh did he demand a blood test? . I certainly would have the swab is by all accounts is notoriously unreliable Edited by kanny

Usually the swab only detects traces for 12-24 hours, depends how heavy the use is I suppose..
