The olfactory system is linked into the motor cortex and just as the same as when a stimulated dog has to move , the scent provides a stimulus that the dog wants to make contact with , if he can't ingest it , pressing his body against it is the next best thing , there is no thinking involved , prey animals shite he can ingest other than that he has to make contact if stimulated enough

Not a goddam thing to do with disguise, I would be very surprised if disguising yourself as a 2 foot high fox shit would be the stealthest way to approach a bunny or anything else, Have a Russel her

Is it a male thing? My bitches have never done it, but all my dogs have. My pup does it at every opportunity. Even an ice cold hosing off when we get home doesn't seem to put him off.

Why do they do it?

Is there any way of stopping them other than a boot up the balls?

Just aswell he is'nt interested in dog shit, you'd have to address him as Early Grayce, and supply him with never ending six packs of Lucky lager lol
