Never to old to retrain KD…….go for it

I dont believe in them courses mate. What they teach you you could learn off google and you tube. Have a think what you want to do i.e. domestic or commercial/construction then research what quals are

I've got a mate who only learnt to read at 31, he's a teacher now.

Get it done mate. My missus is 38 and being talking about retraining since she was 33. Now she's saying she's nearly 40 and too old. I keep trying to push her into doing something she wants to do but I suppose it's easier to put it off and stay as she is.

You've still got 30+ years of work ahead of you.

Thinking about retraining to become a plumber but at 31 don't know if I'm to old to be going back to college. Anyone else been in the same boat ?

Never think you're too old at 31, you could be working for another 35 years & becoming a plumber will take how long?

Go for it...

Cheers lads I've seen these courses advertised train 4 trade where you pay x amount of money and you learn the basics in 2 month lol anyone reccomend any sites I could have a look at.

I did 3 years of 2 nights a week 6-9pm to get my sparks ticket. I was a bit younger but still had a mortgage and outgoings to cover at the time. Now I have what I think is a good career with a solid footing.

agree with this, plenty out there wanting to make a fast buck on people wanting to gain knowledge. Get in touch with you local college or even better ask a company you would like to work for what they are looking for, find out what the qualifications are for the trade your looking at and go for it!

31 is no age mate. UTO

Yip....like everyone has said just go for it. You already have a trade to fall back on so if things don't go to plan there is always another option. But if they do and you get your qualifications then it's just a case of getting your foot in the door. Plumbing is an excellent job for picking up homers too so there is always money to be made.
