billhardy 2,343
Looking at that malli my shepherd lurcher had far and away more drive has a youngster and until May third yr started ta steady thing his this high driven types are a fecking nightmare has youngsters but when they begin ta settle the bonus of that drive far out reaches the low drive types ,I would say fa those not capable of living or handling high drive types stay well clear ,but has in all nests even mall types choosing the temp and drive ta suit the individual his has much of a skill in itself placing Welps to suit handlers temps his of great benefit to both handler and welp atb bunnys 3 Quote Link to post

Yes on the whole the Alsatians are far always more steadier and easier to keep and maintain, the drive in say the mallsand dutchies can be far to much for lots of the lurcher handlers ,one needs to be able to switch off from the behaviour at times . Some just Cana handle this atb bunnys. 1 Quote Link to post

I like the idea of these highly driven dogs but in reality I don't think I would have the head or the time for a Dutch or malli. 1 Quote Link to post
