I have a whippet Russell first x who is capable of all of the above. I can't do pics on my phone but there are lots in my old posts. He's getting on now and lost a bit of speed but none of his drive. If I could clone him I would!

At the end of the day, if brought on right any half decent type will do a job for you. You can come up with every scenario you like some will make the grade some wont......you pay youre money and make youre choice

This is definitely a route I can see myself going down in the future. A couple of these small lurchers and a busher would do me just fine I reckon. I'm not ready to give up the bigger lurcher just yet though, think I will keep at least one 25-27" dog for the forseesble.

Why gaz unless u r tracking shot deer i dont see what big 25tts plus lurchers can do better thank a little 19 tts whirrier for mooching rat rabbit retrieving odd fox i think these are the way to go also much less likely to get pulled with 2 little whippety mongerels than a big ole lurcher
