gnipper 5,944
Depends on your ground imo, the little dogs I've had have struggled on our flat ground regardless of what they are chasing. 4 Quote Link to post

Ok they're quick off the mark but a bunny on nice flat fields without hedges or fences to bounce off goes like shit off a stick and take some catching and them 17 -20tts dogs struggle. 22+ for me from now on. 2 Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 11,183
To be honest I can't work out why whippet x grey isn't more popular ,though mooching around with a small lurcher or leggy terrier/mongrel type is fun. 1 Quote Link to post
Busher100 703
Gnipper u say 17 to 20 inch dogs struggle my whippet can straight line a rabbit pretty sharpish and i know im not the only one with a dog that can catch rabbits on open ground Quote Link to post
tb25 4,626
I have found I lose more bunny's day time with my bigger lurcher compared to my small bitch... Quote Link to post

tb25 4,626
Won't go wrong with a little dog like this for general bunny bashing. 5 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Why gaz unless u r tracking shot deer i dont see what big 25tts plus lurchers can do better thank a little 19 tts whirrier for mooching rat rabbit retrieving odd fox i think these are the way to go also much less likely to get pulled with 2 little whippety mongerels than a big ole lurcher I like tracking shot deer. Got a few mates who shoot ? Quote Link to post
