What Do You Think Will Happen To European Immigrant After Brexit?

Recommended Posts

The eu has stopped us deporting Muslim radicals, and alot of the migrants flooding across the eu are Muslims. I think an eu exit won't help though as we will still have spineless politicians

Not it hasn't. The ECHR has stopped radicals being deported but that's a seperate thing to the EU...

BGD you know your pissing on their chips pointing out these facts .

The UK government will call for another referendum within a year if we vote out. The pigs will not give up the trough that easily. Sturgeon has set a precedence.   TC

All those in UK jails should be deported the day after the referendum in or out.

baked beans sales will go thru the roof as will jam , wel all go back to eating offal, ll be out of work businesses will go bust and I can sign on for the 1st time as I wont have a job, no one will tr

I don't think anything will happen to them. They will no doubt be given grandfather rights to carry on living here. Hopefully we might be able to boot some of the criminals out that the EU courts seem to want to protect so much.

So if we ain't in the eu then will the echr not mean fook all if we are not a member state?

It's a completely separate entity to the EU, we're signatories to the ECHR and that won't change just by leaving the EU.

I didn't know that. Let's hope it's the start of a change even you know needs to happen

Was there not talk not so long ago about us opting out of the ECHR? About the same time as hook hand could not be deported?

I wouldn't be voting Leave if I thought it could result in Britain not being signatory to the ECHR pal...

You realise the only European state that isn't signatory to it is Belarus right?

It was proposed but quickly shelved because it would never pass the commons. The effect on the Good Friday Agreement alone would be disastrous.

Well I'm hoping we can now start actually running our own country the way we want it without any outside interference.

I hope we can get rid of any wannabee terrorist and then close the doors on anyone coming here till we have set rules in place.....something similar to the Australian way of doing.

With the influx of others not coming here plus the money we would no longer dish out to Europe I'd hope jobs would be more abundant.

Not expecting it over night but it would be a push in the right direction.

That's another thing about leave BGD ;)

I'll say this though the ECHR's decisions are only enshrined and enforced under UK law because of membership. We had out own HR laws before that were literally set in stone and liberated many nations and peoples'

Yes the European Court of Human Rights decisions are enshrined in UK law because we're signatories to the European Convention on Human Rights (who's idea was it to name them so the acronyms for both were the same ). That's just how all international works though, it only means anything to the states that have signed up to the treaties and conventions. Edited by BGD
