The Seeker 3,048
Yes really pleased for the lad, hindsight is a wonderful thing and I wished we had kept hi on, I'm sure many clubs have similar stories. Makes you wonder how many lads at all the league clubs got released and could have developed into world class players but ended up giving up and working in a factory somewhere...

RossM 8,149
Aye well done that lad, naturally gifted striker reads the game as he should analysing everything around him and making the right runs, no been a striker like that for a long time, shearer, berghamp and Henry are all that spring into my head at the moment. lanesra 4,007
Everything that happened to him good & bad in his career has made him the player he is today , who's to say if he'd of stayed at SW he'd be doing as well as he is now , maybe him dropping down the leagues gave him the hunger to prove people wrong , he's Certanily a determined lad & doesn't seemed fazed by all the plaudits . gnasher16 31,602
Give him a few more months of success and we,ll soon find reason to rip him to pieces.....its what we do best !.......I seem to remember a young Wayne Rooney have a great start to a season once it didnt take us long to catch up with him. I,ll be interested to see how Vardy plays at national level but he,s certainly very talented.....also be interesting to see how he performs next season once he,s a marked man so to speak.

THE STIFFMEISTER 17,520
Personally I don't think he'll ever be a top top player... He has the attributes to be a decent striker for a mid table team but he's certainly far from the finished article.. You can say it's a strikers business to score goals and little else, but for every shearer or Owen there are a million carbon copies of Whittington and Walcott waiting in the wings... Everybody wants to be a goal scorer, but not everyone can score goals, he has proved he can but what else does he have to his game to merit the title world class......few are , and to be banking on a front line of him and Kane possibly fothe summerr tis a bit naive imho
