Dog Eating Shit

Recommended Posts

I have this problem with our GSD. After asking the same question on here I came to the conclusion that she just likes it. Anyway after about 8 months of corrections she seems to have broken the habit although she will occasionally curl one out and eat it when she's on her own with the missus for some reason

Best one ever he phoned me a few weeks ago and said he had taken dogs out for a quick crap before work and the terrier disappeared for a bit then reappeared with a face full of human crap it had found in a bush ( dont think it was cushty as too far away). He said the mutt was covered in it all over its head and mouth as rough coated, he said he was heaving as he walked home and had too tie dog up in yard as he washed it. Said it was all over his hands and everything as he was nearly sick washing the little rascal. I had tears in my eyes when he told me and it still cracks me up now, dogs you got to love em !

I walk my dog through cow, sheep and horse fields daily and he has a little sample of every poo that he finds.

His favorite is cow pat. the fresher the better! He tends to just have a little lick off of the top before running over to the next one!

It really doesn't bother me though - he's a Dog!

Never seen him eat his own poo though or any dog poo for that matter but I wouldn't be concerned but I would have a look online to see what could be causing the dog to do it.

Have a look at this website: You might get your answer! http://www.dogpoopdiet.com/why-dogs-eat-poop/
