Well, I've never used a hatsan semi-auto but a friend had one and he called it Bob Marley because it never stopped jamming.

Do not go for a hatstand. They are a piece of garbage and anyone I've known own one has regretted buying one and got rid. "Buy cheap buy twice"   2nd hand Benelli, Winchester or Beretta would be my

Just what I was going to say

No contest:

A decent Beretta A303, 1980's version, thousands out there, very popular when new/in production.

I have a 26" multi choke, had it 18 years never malfunctioned over 1,000's of shells

Nothing wrong with the Hatsan's (when new anyway), they are a crude copy of the A300 series.

But in truth a used Beretta is always better, and will hold it's value, a Hatsan will bomb as

soon as you take it out of the shop.

But hey it's up to you, remember if its to good to be true, it probably is!!

Haven't got one myself but I sore the armsan a612 on team wild on YouTube and they seemed impressed with it , you can get a new one within your budget

When was the last time you read/saw a bad review about any air rifle/shotgun/ rifle? :hmm::hmm::hmm: no because if they slated anything they would not get paid/given guns and kit, Hatstands/escorts are cheap nasty rubbish.

Get the hatstand any Body can shoot a good well built gun

The excitement of not knowing if it's going to do all that it's supposed to when you pull the trigger

The bonus is its the gift that keeps on giving

Not only will you save money when you buy the hatstand

It costs next to nothing to feed you can try the same cartridge 10 times before it goes bang

Only joking I've got one they are SHITE

I sometimes wonder if all the bad reviews are from Hatsan owners or the gun has become a bit like the.....land Rover Defender.....whenever its name comes up lots of people say how bad it is

Was it the early Hatsans that had problems????

I have owned one and know another 2 owners...none of us has had all these problems people say

Hatsan owners, or past owners, have plenty of GENUINE tales of woe, my barrel blew up, it isn't a myth, it isn't scare mongering, it is a fact.

Early Hatsans were a disgrace in terms of design, materials, and QC, and frankly dangerous.

Newer models are improving (and it still amazes me that they make decent air rifles) but Hatsan Semis have a way to go, come back in 10 years and see what they offer then, for now, avoid like the plague!

Iv had a hatsan escort for a few months now and honestly never had a single jam. Iv used it a fair bit too. I had some duff cartridges that didn't go off properly (they left plenty of unburnt green squares in the barrel) and it even cycled theese! Cheap and not worried about knocking it about. It even cycles 65 mm and 21g carts perfect too.
