It's a common mistake when people see Rudd for the first time, especially in sunshine. They literally glow in the sunny top layers of water. When true goldfish breed in the 'wild' they revert back to

It doesn't though. That's the point. And as THL's 2nd most successful fisherman, I'm quite surprised.

The adults are red and gold, so I may have picked up on the clues......(whistling angel face !)

Serious answer time.....

 

Do you know if the pond was used for fishing or just ornamental. Rudd aren't your typical ornamental species - go!den orfe, more likely.

 

Wife's ma has some in her pond and the do look like goldfish, I suppose.....
