That's what my last dog was . a good bull cross bitch to a good coursing dog (dog was called chisel) if any of you coursing lads know it . was supposed to of been a good dog . He was a true alrounder would take fox and deer for fun . and bag rabbits with ease . did do a few day time hares with him but mainly the other three.

Round my way there was a lad who ran a bull cross that did them for fun nighttime in the end he only ran the dog on deer during the day there wasn't many deer that escaped if the dog was on there case.if I remember right the dog was a racy type about 25tts 75lb and really loved Bambi's.I wouldn't consider any other dog than bull cross for the land round me if deer were legal again.

i have ran some hard running land with a bull x when may be a heavy saturated collie cross would of been the better option on deer that said i dont think a collie x can hold hold a candle to a bull x on the final finally i cant see any cross having to many issues holding a roe its the bigger gear were they found out

I can't work out if u boys taking the piss outa the deerhound stuff or not but I got a deer x grey x collie grey pup upcoming at the mo so give it 10 to 12 months I'll come back to you on it but from what I've read and herd these are right up there

A good 1/2 Bull 1/2 Grey 1st cross IMO. Might not be the fastest but is a pure powerhouse and could, pre ban of course, take down most species of Bambi ?
