Ive seen videos of nuttal must be walking twenty plus terriers all off leash and they were well behaved from what i remember. I've seen Brian exercise 16 terriers no problem at all. A good terrierman. Quote Link to post

Rabbit Hunter 6,608
I can imagine the bull blood doesn't help Foxdropper in regards to fighting. Quote Link to post
foxdropper 17,092
All but bred out now mate but yes I guess it was the catalyst. I'e used bull cross outcrops since without the aggression though . 1 Quote Link to post
Kerny92 1,246
My cousin has two bitch littermates, they fight with each other regularly. Some are just fight crazy, if they are then just be more wary. 2 Quote Link to post

Apache... 2,585
I think if you bring up a black pup in the right manner, let's say any dog to be honest, if well socialised and reared properly, its aggression and drive channelled correctly there shouldn't be much of a problem, we all have the odd scuffle now again when kennelling a few terriers, even packs of hounds that live and feed together kick off sometimes. I hope fireman worked his dog first and realised it was a coward before he pts the dog. 1 Quote Link to post

The dog got what it needed mate but i took no pleasure in it in any way,he grew to a 30 lb 16 inch terrier with the same attitude as a working bulldog.Work was not all it needed as ain't as green as you think i am FD and that dog was just the same as having a bull dog in working order and that ain't my thing to have around me,he was far to big for anyone who takes care in what they do with quarry and if anyone thinks it was to much a "black dog" for me they why ain't you all got big drawing terriers in your kennels who can only be around a 75lb lurcher as she can sure as shite look after herself. Feck putting the poor thing on the dog merry go round and nor was i ever going to pass him on for the only thing he'd been any good at so i did right for the dog and i burried him properly end of really. But as for plummers not being black dogs, your right PIG and horses for courses in some cases but on the other hand i'm yet to see a black dog do all my old plummer has been able to do 1 Quote Link to post

But the worst terrier I've ever seen for fighting was a Wheeler/Nuttall dog, it would even attack bitches. BUT it's owner was a wanker who I can imagine would have encouraged the dog to be like that, so who knows. Same here mate, never had any problems with any of the terriers i had when i mixed the Wheeler blood in but to be fair ive always been able to let all of my black terriers,bull/lurchers and bulldogs exercise and mix around the home together and wouldnt tolerate anything that couldnt be trusted. The only time ive ever had problems was with two poxy showy Russels that my ex missus owned and a tiny pitbull dog that i brought home at 4months old that wanted to fight everything from the day i picked him up. 1 Quote Link to post
rob284 1,678
Personally, as long as the dog works, I’d work around an aggressive dog. But it was your dog and your decision, nobody else’s. Quote Link to post
shaneg 2,577
I’ve a good few terriers and I can let them all out at once without to much hassle but I put that down to socializing them when there young. Personally I’ve never seen a good fighter all I’ve seen have been afraid of the dark but would fight with a dog in a heart beat. Personally I hate that type 4 Quote Link to post
EDDIE B 3,120
I had a bitch pup years ago, who given the opportunity would latch on to her own mother. She was a cowardly f*cker when it came to anything else, so didnt stay around long. 2 Quote Link to post
Glyn..... 5,199
i've had a couple of cannibals one was a bitch and she would kill and eat pups if kennelled with her after 12 weeks , pups where safe after 12 months old , the other was a dog you could not kennell him with anything but neither where fighters, both crazy mad for work Edited May 20, 2018 by Glyn..... 1 1 Quote Link to post
