Pendle Hill

Recommended Posts

I took advantage of the cooler weather yesterday morning and took the dogs to the infamous pendle hill , for those that of never heard of it , it's the area the accused lancashire witches lived in the 17th century pendle witch trails . They were marched to Lancaster castle , stood trail and hung .

It must be a bit of a hotspot , cos I'd only just started walking when a farmer came over on his quad and said "thas not be chasing hares with them dogs will ya lad "?

Here's a few photos , cheers for looking.

My old stamping ground from 30 years or so back :icon_redface:

Had many hares and foxes from that area back in the day, mind you don't find any unexploded bombs though, there's still quite a few around there

Used to be a dry skiing slope at the back of the pub there as well at "The Nick of Pendle"

Cracking pics mate, brings back some good memories :victory:

Cheers, D.
