NEWKID 28,418
Money is a tool to be used in the persuit of happiness, but essentially the most valuable things in life cannot be bought with cash. I believe that happiness and contentment in our life is all about balancing the success of each aspect of your life, Love/relationships, Health, Work & Play, not letting any one dominate the others. Money can make all that a little easier. It's a lubricant, not the fundamental coggs of the machine. Great post mate... Love that last sentence, infact I'm nicking that one as my own lol

pesky1972 5,634
Here's one though, health is your wealth you say but it could be said the other way round. Poor people die younger than the rich. Also how many people are there which have had the best treatment not based on their character but simply their wealth. Had it been you or me wed of been dead simply because of money. I take your point..., but it's got fcuk all to do with this thread and the girl dying. Think it's a safe bet that Peaches had more money than me but she's now dead ..., and I'm older than she was and still here.
Born Hunter 17,907
I very nearly wrote you all a f***ing essay on my thoughts regarding happiness and contentment, LOL. Some shit I spend far too much time thinking about! It spills out now and again.
Tiercel 6,986
Money can buy you temporary happiness, but that is all it is temporary. As it does not take away the underlying cause of unhappiness and no matter how much money you have it cannot change your state of mind. Money is just a drug and as with most drugs it give you a temporary high, but after that high comes the let down. RIP young lady. TC

WILF 49,665
Whatever you think of Geldof, forgetting his name for a minute.....the bloke lost his wife who he was deeply in live with, then she dies.......he takes on the orphan daughter of said wife and her new man and raises her as his own, fair play. Then his other daughter dies at 25. Now I am some hard hearted f****r at times but I honestly feel for the man, I really do. I wouldn't wish a minutes more pain on any man that has had to go through that.

I'm glad you wrote that mate, my sentiments entirely, no strong views personally on Geldoff, but he seemed very family orientated to me, taking on another mans child so she could grow up with her siblings showed a lot of class IMO ( I think he fought the grandmother for custody?).... Can not even attempt to imagine the pain of losing a child, something I'd imagine you could never recover from...
