forest of dean redneck 12,022
For all those banging the ukip drum http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-25539843
Pedwar 320
I feel sorry for them but the amount of aid we're sending, if spent wisely should suffice
keepdiggin 9,567
its looking like UKIP aren't who we thought they were.
socks 32,253
UKIP want to cap the number at 500 which is a hell,of a lot cheaper than the Torys send them 600 million quid .........
Born Hunter 17,909
That's just plain common sense. We have a moral obligation to care for refugees. UKIP aren't the nazi party! LOL More common sense from a common sense party!
ChrisJones 7,975
£600,000,000 Over half of a billion. I'm sure they're spending the money wisely too... I mean we're just f***ing chuckin' it at them! Good money in war!
gnasher16 31,371
Its amazing what you see when your chin is on the floor through desperation........any other party it would be called a compromise......because its Ukip its called " being sensible " ! Born Hunter 17,909
Gnash it's got nothing to do with desperation. There's a difference between genuine refugees and mass uncontrolled immigration. It's the largest refugee crises in modern history, possibly ever. We should have put the whole thing to bed 6 months ago IMO. Edited December 29, 2013 by Born Hunter
gnasher16 31,371
If a title " Let Syria Refugees into Uk " was attached to any other party we would all be ranting and raving saying things like " this country is finished "...................but when people have become so downtrodden that they are willing to put all their eggs into one basket its amazing how they will bend their thought process to suit that one tiny glimmer of hope.
WILF 49,762
Makes sound financial sense to me, a few hundred genuine refugees is better than handing over best part of a billion quid for some Arabs to line their pockets and nothing gets to the people who need it. The cost of these people is pocket change compared to the open door immigration from former eastern block states.......don't need to be a rocket scientist to work that out. Born Hunter 17,909
Well I for one wouldn't, there's a lot of people that believe UKIP are something they're not, some sort of 21st century National Front. Like I said It's my beliefe we have a moral obligation to act in situations like this. Parliament decided that to take direct action to prevent an ongoing refugee crises was wrong so now we must deal with that consiquence. We could just say 'f**k em' but a lot of our foreign politics relies on our supposed supperior moral standing in the world. Likewise I've never claimed to be against immigration, yet I'm still a supporter of UKIP as they're not against immigration either. There's a lot of people that believe UKIP are something they're not, yeah of course they're gonna be dissapointed. Me... I'm just seeing more common sense policies.
TOMO 28,500
500 is nothing at all,, in fact it's proberbly not enough to help Syria ,,,,, but wouldn't it be better if these refuges went to neighbouring country's ?
