I used to clean and care for an old lady, only one morning a week, private arrangement. She has since been relocated due to mental health problems, but her daughter keeps me hanging on, saying she'll be back home soon. I don't know where I am with the arrangement, so not having heard from her for several weeks, I've gone and got another job to fill the hours. Yes, it was a little annoying not knowing what the situation was, but no way, in a trillion years would I ever have tried to get extra money out of a family already struggling mentally and emotionally, even if they could afford it. If I were him I would give them nothing,, trouble is,, he's a different generation,, and proberbly has respect ,,, for this tribunal and doesn't want the hassle .....but I bet they get a balif in,,, but he should dig his heels in ,, and just offer a poultry some each week,,, then keep defaulting on it,, then when the letter come through the door,, arrange a payment,,, then default again after a few payments... I dare say that bloke would have given her a decent reference if she needed to find another job. Bitch could easily have found a new job, that poor bloke ain't ever going to get his wife back. If she quit, how on earth can she get awarded compo for unfair dismissal any way? Big companies get away with reducing their staffs hours all the time when the work dries up, this is just another example of how the little man in the street is treated with contempt by the establishment in this country..
