Pretty much all the ones iv'e known have shown guarding, looking after the owner and his family traits, there not really a defensive nervy type dog,in fact a very forward dog /But you do have to get on top of the guarding bit as they live to guard you and without it it could become a issue, i personaly  like a dog a stranger couldn't get hold of and a dog who'll stand in front of you should you ever need it to..

True words...Most of the ones that I've been around (or have bred) definitely showed a marked propensity to grip if they felt it appropriate to do so...

They are a suspicious type of canine by design, and are frequently wary of strangers...

Almost all of the specimens that I have encountered, acted in the same manner.

When 'watered down' and hybridised with other breeds,.. this instinctive trait can either be dampened down, or in some cases, increased , often to such an extent that it becomes a definite problem.. 🙄

Some folk deliberately seek out such aggressive behaviour in a jukel,.. they believe it to be in some way, special or useful,. whereas in reality , and in daily life, the ownership of a hunting dog that bites people, can be a total fecking liability....

Temperament is everything in this particular lurcher hybrid....

You need good sensible dogs,. .handled by equally sensible owners....👍

Having gone from a dog with a guarding trait to a dog that loves every one.
definitely prefer the latter. It’s nice not to have to worry and all ways have to think ahead. I like a peaceful life

The intelligence of the ACD is incredible. My old mum had a fall the other day in her front yard and couldn't get up. The neighbor's ACD cross dingo came over looking at her and she told him to go get the neighbor. He ran off and she could hear the dog barking. The neighbor was on the shitter and the dog barked crazily until he came over to investigate and helped mum up. Mum gave the dog half of the pork roast she was cooking but didn't offer the neighbor any, lol.

I was wondering about hobo because I do have a home, lol. I think it was Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, saves people and even flew a chopper in one episode, lol. Only thing I had to do with roos was gutting them for dog food on a daily basis when I had a dozen dogs. We love our native fauna over here, as do our dogs, lol.
