It doesn't look like I'll be getting anything any time soon,  once out of the yard the bitch is refusing to stand. There's always "next time" but ffs I'm getting sick of saying it,  quirky bunch of b@stards they are.

My first kelpie was a bit like that. I've never bred a litter of pups or used one of my dogs at stud in my whole life. However, back in 2006, when my two were separated as Amber was in season, a friend asked if he could use Rusty on his kelpie/collie. We tried several times, and she was doing everything in her feminine power to get him interested, but he refused to serve her. I assumed that he simply wasn't interested in mating so let my two out together in the garden and he immediately jumped her so I had to pull him off and separate them again. I've always assumed that maybe he was monogamous! Even after she was spayed he never showed much interest in other bitches.

Caterpillers dog and on the last pic the dog has seen someone on the horizon and you can see how the dog has tucked himself in to the lad, that is the cattle dog trait we've been talking about.

As for learning here's the same dog as a pup not 3 mins after meeting a ferret for the very first time

Wrong type of deer shame as nice dog .

The best deer for sport and eating, easy prey on the normal arable but put them on flooded water meadows and your'll see why they have the word "water" in their names mate. They skim across it when the dogs do what all 4 legs do in water they go into slow motion and have to plough through it, many a time iv'e heard lads say "that's dead" and a few seconds later there's yards gained and chuck in a dyke a few reeds and  turn like a hare can do and  away it's gone. Me and a pal a few years back were hitting them quite hard and were taking 3 figure numbers each season and my acd bitch had probebly chased more chinks than everything else put together in her short life and she had a few to her name, Have just seen a report that's been done on chinks in the broads and there thousands of them as well as munties and there becoming a problem,,, mmm maybe time for a new runner :hmm::victory:..

Yes mate, three times,  I jumped through all the hoops, sperm test, progesterone test, AI, you name it, I've tried it.

I take it it's failed everytime for you?

How much does it cost to get a bitch done with Ai?

Some great handy looking dogs here.  Any of them show any guarding, defensive or aggression  traits? I know some of them cattle dogs do, against people like.  I've known a couple of Collies types that were feckers and my Mally X  would 100% nail someone if you needed her to.

Asking for a friend.
