  1. I read this article a while back and meant to post it up for funsies ... so here it is. Also I reckon a few folks might want to write in to the reporter about his misinformation - I did but never received a reply. POACHERS are the prey after police launched a crackdown in Padiham. Officers have mounted a series of night-time raids around the town in an attempt to combat the illegal killing of deer and other wildlife. Sgt Marianne Slater, from Padiham Police, said: “These operations are necessary to highlight the increase in poaching activities in, and around, this area.
  2. People these days who like to keep themselves to themselves are usually viewed by many with contempt and suspicion. You can't just go about your business any more. I'd be friendly with the friendly folks and completely ignore the knob jockeys. Then you'll have allies in the nice folks at least. I don't have an ounce of bother with my neighbours regarding my dogs - they're quiet, I clean up after them, and I don't let them off lead around here because of all the cats. I'm a dead friendly person so I talk to just about all my neighbours except the ones I suspect would give me bother, w
  3. Hannah you've got an awesome eye .... some really great shots there. The portrait of the toothless dude is fooking fab!! I also like the graffiti pic, the kids on the rock, and the hippy sign. Well done chic
  4. Now that looks an interesting bit of kit How are they selling for him? I'm after a Gorilla Pod. Don't ask me why, really, I just want one I like the chipmunk Undi - we have them back home and they're proper fun little critters to watch.
  5. Some good shots there Snaps, I like the traffic one - I fancy having a go at that myself, been trying to scout out an interesting location to try it (and a willing babysitter ). Last shot does it for me
  6. Well ... I only just lost that round. I'm feel a bit  BUT, thank you everyone for pitching in. There were 5716 entries in that comp, and I finished in the top 64. Not something to sneeze at. Plus there's another one starting on Friday and I've entered that as well so you never know Thank you guys for your support - you're a good bunch
  7. It's a right pain isn't it? But thanks for taking the time, I do appreciate it
  8. She can go from happy to murderous in about 5 seconds flat. So yes, she gets that from me .... still need votes .....! Thanks everyone who's voted
  9. Willfull and free spirited?! .... on her best days she makes the exorcist look like a kid's film. But she's good fodder for the camera!
  10. a face like a trod on chip  what had you done to her OMG Kay ... I've just laughed so hard I've got tears in my eyes ... trod on chip ... ... we'd been up on the moors all morning, and I had to keep shouting her out of trees and becks and telling her to keep up. She wanted her freedom and was rather miffed at me. .... I have a whole series of 'the truth about my kids' with pics like this It's easy to get pics of them smiling and looking all lovely but the harsh reality is, well ... harsh
  11. Come on you guys get in there! Vote, or I'll set one of my kids on you - and she's meaner than she looks
  12. Keep trying chic, I've only got till 8pm! It is a bugger getting in to vote but keep at it (please )
  13. Cheers for that Dan, I'm glad you like the pic. But now he's got nearly 30 votes on me. The more I get the more he gets. It's driving mad I really have to stop looking
  14. Craigy if you search through that site sure you'll find plenty of that sort of image - and some even more, shall we say, interesting ones Thanks you guys - spread the word and keep it up. This round lasts till 8 tonight and I'm struggling to beat this guy. Last round I won by 200 votes!
  15. Best way is to just follow the link I put up, use the Facebook sign in, and it should take you directly to my entry, which is called Where the Fairies Are. But if you get in and get lost you can just search my profile, Jennifer Tulloch. Go to that and there is a vote link on the left side of the page. It's a fussy old process. But you guys are helping, I'm catching up now
  16. Yer it is tb. That photo was printed in the March issue of Lancashire Life as well, which creases me right up. My scruffy lurcher in a posh mag
  17. Thanks you guys. ... I've become consumed with this competition and making it through to the next round would just mean loads to me. Plus, as an added bonus, while there's a lot of odd and weird stuff on there, there is also a good bit of 'adult content' to amuse those of you who, erm, like that sort of thing Feel free to share the link and vote instructions on your facebook walls as well. I've only got till 8 tonight to beat this guy!
  18. And before you all get excited, this isn't nearly as nice as JPT's vote request I've entered a photo of mine in an art gallery competition and to my complete surprise I've got through to the final knockout rounds. There were 5716 entries to begin with and there's only 64 left. At the moment my opponent has 24 votes on me. That's not much. This round's voting ends tonight at 8 so I have just under 12 hours to catch him and make it to the next round. So here's how it works: This is the link http://www.saatchionline.com/showdown/match/showdown/4/artist/210557/art/1204525 If

  20. Just got a call from our Moll .... there is a brown saluki type bitch running southbound on the Northbound carriage way of the A1 between the Metro Centre and the Angel of the North. Moll has tried to catch her but obvious not having success. Please repost where appropriate. Thanks.
