  1. I don't know ghillies - didn't use it. He did prick his ears up when the shutter clicked tho. He seemed really steady but he'd have to be, being an ex police horse. I'm glad of it too 'cause he's a biiiig fella, spooking him mightn't be a nice thing
  2. A friend of mine has recently adopted a horse, so I seized the opportunity to go down and down some pics of him for her. I love horses, and I'm comfortable around them, which is a good thing 'cause he followed me everywhere sucking on my coat and trying to nibble my camera ... which made it difficult to get some long shots It was so much fun. And a great opportunity for a bit of practice Still playing around and editing them but I thought I'd share anyway
  3. It wasn't working it was just along for the ride. What's the big deal?
  4. I was gonna say the same ... were you ferreting in a skirt? I like that - very cool! I thought I was the only one who wandered around in minis and wellies Nice pictures too, well done
  5. Think you're right SS, if I put that collar on my bitch she'd look like she was wearing a neck brace Didn't realise it was so wide. Ace collar tho
  6. Brill isn't it? New ones coming in all the time too. :11:
  7. My kids kept asking me what was so funny and I couldn't even speak I've got a headache, sore throat and a fever and this site still cheered me up no end
  8. I want one for me mutt - how much?! wouldn't be someones birthday present would it .....erm ... no? But it would look the biz on my bitch
  9. For obvious reasons I'm more interested in this: I want one for me mutt - how much?!
  10. When your phone's auto correct function goes wrong http://damnyouautocorrect.com/category/best-of-dyac/ Honestly, I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. Check it out if you need a giggle

    Ouch!

Probably doesn't have a future now. Might've made them a nice Sunday roast after they flogged it to death. That video made me proper cross
  12. Its an ADVERT FFS!!! I don't jump out the seventh storey window and expect a rollercoaster to take me to work like the Barcleycard advert or expect Tony the tiger to pack my snap whilst I finish my frosties. Its not suggested husbandry for dogs, its a f*****g advert, jesus christ.............. and yet sooooo many people on THL got up in arms a year or so ago when an advert for child abusers depicted a man with a shotgun!!! whats good for the goose as they say.......afterall it was "only an advert" Well can't comment on that as I haven't seen it, but c'mon all this bollocks for an

    Ouch!

I feel sorry for that horse, can't help but wonder what they did to afterwards. Stupid d!ck - I'd like to beat him with a big stick
  14. I'm not that generous - I just reward him with the occasional worming tablet
  15. Twas possibly one too many veggies on the plate. They were begging me for cabbage tho I was unwilling to share I've got enough left so I'm going to make that for them tonight
  16. Lab Cat's gotta earn his keep and provide the proof. The heads aren't so bad, it's when he leaves their guts in a pile that I get a bit grossed out
  17. Oh f*ck that's disgusting  Looking at that pic made my toes curl up. I've seen some big ones coming up from the beck behind my house but that takes the cake. A while back a fair sized one ran right up the pavement outside my house, stuck it's head under the gate and just stared at me and the kids - middle of the afternoon in broad daylight. I stamped at it and it ran. My big male cat shot out from under my neighbour's tree and took off after it. Yep, my cat's so 'ard it courses rats I don't care what anyone says about hating cats, mine does a good job taking out some large
  18. You dont hear that every day about cabbage.............. fkn starvin now..... It was cabbage with bacon, onions and cream Pumpkin risotto and bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breasts. Easy enough once you do it ... just not something I'd have thought of doing. Steak and kidney pie on the menu tonight, with parsnip and sweet potato garlic mash. I let the kids taste the steak and kidney last night when I took it out of the oven and they loved it. Oh and Bert ... the superhero surprise when down a treat, tho one of the kids did complain about the leeks Three clean plates Poor
  19. BT I'm not ashamed to say that I'm not much of a cook. I'm not a bad cook, just not an adventurous one Bert last night's meal came out fab - I think the cabbage might've earned me a few points
  20. Saying they should've brought the dog into the house implies that leaving it in kennels is uncaring? And it's not - so I'm not sure where you're going with that. That wasn't a kennel it was a dog house .... they could've made more of an effort to make it look appropriate and less whimsical but it's ONLY AN AD
  21. Really? ... that's disappointing, it looks like so much fun and a great way to beat the traffic. I was going to start scoffing weetabix in the hopes that horses would start talking to me - I always fancied talking to a horse. Adverts are so misleading
  22. I've met a few people on this forum, and made a few new friends. Today I made a new one in Bert the Fert We've chatted back in forth in pm's, and met today at my house for the first time. We spent the day nattering and laughing in my kitchen, while Bert taught me a few culinary things while deftly avoiding stepping on my kitten We've made enough nosh to last a week Steak and kidney pie, mince mix for various uses, stuffed chicken breasts, pumpkin risotto ... Sometimes folks come on here and complain that all anyone does is bitch and argue and they go on about this place being all mann
  23. Seeing pics of your lot always cheers me up Nice one
  24. I'll be proud of raising my kids. I'll be proud of myself for standing up to a bad man and managing to make it on my own even tho, at first, I didn't think I could. I'll be proud of having good friends and being a good friend in return. I liked that
  25. They were wrong. Saltier i'm told........... I knew your hubby was lucky with all that delicious looking food you cook but i never thought he was 'this' lucky There has to be some compensation for all the nagging i give him If only that was compulsary................ You mean it's not compulsory ? Just wait till that fecker gets home LMAO ... think I just dribbled cider on my keyboard .... :11:
