  1. Can't really offer advice, but I can give you the name of one that I recommend if you like
  2. Martin I like those Especially the one of the dog, and the last one with the sun in the tree - clever that one Here's a few more And a pretty one of my Frankenwhippet
  3. The amount of turds we have to step over around here is disturbing. I have bags in every pocket of every jacket I own. And if I happen to run out I've been known to knock on a few doors to ask for one, if one of my mutts goes on the pavement. People who come up with convenient excuses for leaving their dogs' mess in public places are just w@nkers if you ask me. It proper winds me up. Some joker on my street was regularly letting his massive dog leave it's equally massive crap outside my gate on an almost daily basis. I waited, I watched, and when I finally caught him in the act I informed
  4. Groovy! I like them a lot ... they've got a very desolate, eerie feel to them.
  5. Got this from my Mum this morning ... made me laugh In 1974, a Cleveland attorney wrote the Cleveland Browns complaining of the menace posed by the fad of throwing paper airplanes and threatened litigation. The Browns' response is one of the best replies ever written.
  6. It's a nice place, for sure. There's a few too many joggers round it tho I'm having that last picture printed up; it's definitely one of my most favourite shots. I was framing it and the dog wandered into the shot so I took it. I've got one without her as well but it doesn't convey the same feeling. Thanks everyone, glad you all liked them
  7. Ya well I'm about as fit as the last Maple syrup muffins I ate Fields, woods and gentle slopes are the way to go when you're old!
  8. That's awesome! .... you can keep your hills and pikes and rakes ... I for one will never ever climb another piggin' hill again
  9. Luckily the competition is loosely defined as 'winter photos' and I've entered loads - landscapes are my weakest shots, but I put them in anyway along with dogs, kids, birds whatever. Most of the entries are well out of my league but you can't win if you don't play I'm just having fun learning; it does amazing things for my peace of mind, taking pictures. Second only to going out with my dogs. Luckily I can do both at once
  10. I've recently entered a competition (that I haven't a hope in hell of winning ). I tasked myself with winter sunshine photos this week and I'm glad I did: after the recent grey shite weather of winter, taking them cheered me up no end. And my three favorites Nothing like mooching in the sun to lift your spirits
  11. Pointless gates always make me giggle ... and then I have to suppress an idiotic urge to climb them, just because
  12. I take mine home to Canada ... fly to the East Coast and spend a couple of weeks driving right across the country. I'd time it to see some sights like the Calgary stampede in Alberta. Drive over the Rockies, go camping, fishing, whale watching etc.
  13. Couple of my two I took the other day.
  14. I've been sold a dud? Fecking Pikies LOL :11: Nice ickle puppy you've got there SS
  15. I'm not ashamed to say I don't know what that is. But wow fab shots! Green with envy. I have this mental image of you, Romany, sitting in a hide in your garden all day with a cup of tea and the camera, waiting for birds to arrive
  16. Let's face it, most men don't need a dog for that!
  17. Illegal yes its illegal but i remember when i was ferreting once i caught a netted rabbit i pulled its neck and put it in a bag and did this with the next four i caught ...i then walked about a mile away from where i was orignally ferreting ..i made a few mistakes that day one was not pulling the necks of the rabbits properly and the other was the hole in the bag which i was carrying the rabbits in...anyway i had a young dog with me that day and you would never belive it one of the rabbits dropped out about ten yards of the the young dog ..because the rabbit was on unfamilular ground it did
  18. It's the worst part about having dogs ... when you have to say goodbye. Sorry for your loss.
