  7. Anybody who had the misfortune to speak to Buttermilk would only have to watch crobinc's videos on her youtube channel to work out if it's the same person. Bit of a faint accent to her talking but it's not a 'new to England' accent. The very young bitch she bred from struggled to catch a dropper in the middle of a plowed field and as a result, it would seem she had to resort to pet store mice for the ferrets
  8. Listen here Bigfoot, I could go off you!
  9. Saturday is New Years Day luv, I expect you'll be thoroughly hung over! Can do it Sunday if that's better just let me know. Out with dogs and kids yesterday, there's some pics in the general section. Hope your bitch is ok, just lots of rest ;)

  11. Thanks ladies! Muttle, I've considered a treadmill, as well as sedatives, a straight jacket and a padded room
  12. Thank you Kay .. what you can't see is the alarming drop down to the river just a few feet in front of her They kept me on my toes yesterday. Mark, I sincerely hope that when the campfire days arrive, the kids are standing there with me discussing just such a thing. Better that than all of them not being even slightly interested, or worse, being far away from home. Raising them is such hard work now but I look forward to the day when I can survey them with satisfaction.
  13. Thanks BT ... I like that one too, my little family all together Nothing like a peanut butter and jam sandwich to bait the dogs with - had to get them into the picture somehow!
  14. What? Are you not running the lurcher on snakes any more?
  15. Well according to the website she enjoys 'Agility and Beauty'. Erm.
  16. Yep, that's the one. She's wack, if you ask me.
  17. It's a lot of walking on grown up legs! There's an art to it, which I've developed over the years. You bring lots of snacks/ sandwiches/drinks/chocolates etc. And you just meander, take your time and make it interesting. I've scoped out all the different directions we go, so I know where's good to stop for a rest. Woods are best - good for adventures and bear hunting Sometimes if I find a new 'spot' and tell them about it, then they're game to go see it. I let them climb trees and fences and crawl around under the bushes etc., it keeps them occupied. And it sure beats the tv all day. Mak
  18. Christmas holidays: a time during which all single parents are at risk of being driven to suicide  With the dogs desperate for a good blast, and the kids going stir crazy, and me being doolally at the best of times, I decided the family needed a good airing out today. Packed up a lunch and set off just before 11 this morning. We walked for 4 hours The camera battery packed in halfway through but I did manage to get a couple of slightly blurry pics in the low shitty light. Aaaand they're off! Surveying the River Calder A couple of posers And a
  19. Welcome! I don't normally reply in this section but your username caught my eye. The kids have subjected me to hours and hours of Phineas and Ferb over Christmas ... I thought I was seeing things
  20. Nice one Fishy! That girl of yours is a real gem
  21. Register the theft with Lurcher Search www.lurcher.org/lsuk and Dog Lost. Decide what sort of mile radius you can cope with in your area and start visiting the pounds. Email all the rescues in and around your area with pictures of the dogs, especially the old bitch. It's more than likely she will get dumped and, hopefully, found and taken in. I'd follow up with the pounds and rescues every few days. The thing with the pounds tho is you really have to go and check them yourself because a lot of times the staff don't really know what's in and what's not or they just aren't familiar with the bree
