I feel your pain. I try to avoid folks on most of my walks, but the weekends are the worst. The weekends are when the fair weather plonkers descend on the countryside in droves. I call them Weekend Warriors. Their dogs are usually the ones that only get a decent walk on the weekends and they are, more often than not, sorely under stimulated, poorly trained and over excited at the smell freedom. Many Weekend Warriors let their fat b@stard dogs run riot, attacking all and sundry, and can't for the life of them see just how wrong that is. Weekend Warriors also chant a mantra ... the chant of 'He

I don't want to look But I think I get the gist. Well reared and well killed meat tastes way better than poorly raised, cruelly killed meat. So we should care. Just sayin'.

So ..... your point is? Every one of them counts. Section 1 is a farce - as is most of the act. I knew plenty of other types of dogs - collies, labs, boxers, terriers - that are far more dangerous than a lot of the 'types' who fall victim to this act, mostly because of the aforementioned section. Judging a book by it's cover is ridiculous. The more people who give their support, the better. Plenty of bull crosses on here that look dubious and could very easily be taken. If it were one of yours, would you shrug it off because hundreds are taken every year? Once again, a lovely breed g

Congratulations to you Rock ... and to Tiny as well My son was five weeks early and he weighed 7lbs One of my twins was 6lb6oz, the other a piddly little 4lb15oz. Before you know it tho, they're running around daft and driving you mad, and you wish for the good old days when all they did was sleep and eat Enjoy!

Taken yesterday on a shoot in the woods with a bunch of kids dressed up like Elves and Fairies - except for my son, who felt that he was too big to be an elf, so went as a clown instead (like you do). One of my twins, who is far too 'ard to be a fairy and opted for pointy rubber ears and a hat My other twin, polar opposite of the elf ... and my three on the walk home. Life is never dull, that's for sure Hope you enjoy

Article about the cruel treatment of a circus elephant who was battered, kicked and stabbed by her carer http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1370050/Britains-circus-elephant-Anne-Battered-kicked-stabbed.html "In 2005, the RSPCA and the Government refused to intervene in her case after claims that she was being kept in appalling conditions." Just what are the RSPCA supposed to be doing for animals, exactly? ... sweet FA

Don't talk to me about f@$cking snow we got about 6 inches the other night, it looked like spring had sprung here too, all the snow had melted we could see the grass( first time since December) but then this front came in from the States, that brought snow and cold temps , the avaerage night temp for the next week is about -10 ... which is why I don't much miss home Great shots Where are you from orignally Toronto - but don't hold it against me ...where are you?

You might do well to contact a hunting holiday outfit and ask them for information if you can't find anything on t'net. ... searching those links brought up a load of information about the cruelty to dogs that goes on over there I don't think I could cope with that.

lurchergrrl replied to wuyang's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
When my greyhound had a tear on her shoulder the RSPCA turned up at my door about a report of a dog with an open wound. I told her it was being treated and shoo'd her off my property lickety split. Just over a year ago my lurcher bitch ripped her chest open on a barbed fence. Normally I'd have handled it myself, but it was fair large, big flap of skin hanging off, and I panicked a bit. So took her to the vet and the b@stard buggered the job up and it took her SIX MONTHS to heal. If I'd done it myself it wouldn't have been half as bad as what he did to her. I worked for vets when I wa
