  1. Oh. S Rory Terry D. iPad mate . Can't get the shocking thing to let me leave pics. Even the lovely one is stumped. Jok.
  2. Troyboy. If you go that route then you need what they call aircraft ply. It's very pliable. However, for the last 2 years I've been using fibreglass sheet which is both stronger and more pliant. I have never made a rucksack box so don't know if you could adapt. Can't see any reason why not though. Jok.
  3. Sorry, should have said, have a look at world record onion. Tony Glover. One very nice fella who, as you say, knows his onions. Lol. Jok.
  4. Sussex. I'm on about sweet corn not blinking cattle fodder. That stuff germanates through sheer volume. Lol. No mate, we are only on about a normal garden scenario. Jok.
  5. Yes pal. I'm glad to be back, up and running. Scary times are behind me. Looking forward to a good year as the marquee bookings are crazy. The lads are looking after me though so am ok. Happy days. Jok.
  6. Now then Sussex me old mate. Maybe, just maybe, you've dropped a bollock. I was having a word with a knowledgeable sage the other night on the subject of sweet corn. His take on things is that you plant corn in fairly close circles to enable you you to 'shake' the pollen amongst the the plants. This enduses pollination and hence a crop. My friend holds the world record onion. Just a thought. Jok.
  7. WK. You are a one. This could even be a genuine request. Let the Bonny Lads deal with it money or no money. Jok.
  8. Terry. What am I missing? Can't get a pic up for love nor money. Know am thick but this is a joke. Jok.
  9. Any of you guys interested. There are some very collectable items in this lot so should be of interest. I'm not going to try to list them as too many, and would like to sell as a lot. Also have about the same number of cassettes from the same era. 60's to 80's. Anyone interested can pm me. Thanks for looking. Jok.
  10. Griff. A diamond. As I have said before, not to you, the photograph means everything. When you present a product like this then you deserve the accolade. Brilliant pal. I'm hoping to get some projects on go now that everything has settled down. Jok.
  11. Go and watch a field test with clumbers, maybe with a mix of ESS and Crockers thrown in. Bet that would make your mind up a bit smartish. Bit similar to them that try with Golden Retrievers and chocolate labs. Totally useless. Only my humble opinion. Jok.
  12. Ant. You can sow or plant just about anything during the next week or so. I'd get some spuds in, rows about 24" apart and potatoes about 20" apart. (Main crop varieties). Short row of peas sown thickly, do a pyramid of canes and put in some runner bean plants, lettuce, radish and of course a few cabbage and cauliflower. That should get you going nicely. Keep on top of the weeds and watch out for the wood pigeon cause they'll take your cabbages. Have fun son. Still hoping to see you later in the year. Jok.
  13. Terry. Know what. We think the same. However, if I was a betting man, which I'm not, I bet I could dig a dinner of new potatoes from my first earlies. Now then?? Jok.
  14. You might be surprised Ant. I've, in the last 2 weeks, dropped 2 trees and formed the last couple of feet into usable surfaces. The 14 inch bar is great for doing a bit of shaping. All I'd recommend is being suited properly because you use the tip of the blade a hell of a lot. Good fun though. Jok.
  15. Right you guys. I'm after some really old hardwood blanks. Not British but typically African, South American, Asian etc. I guess there are collections obtained over the years by wood turners and the like which have, like lots of other collect abeles, gone into hibernation. When you go into the market at the moment it's the same old story, been drying for years, came out of a church, etc, etc. I'm only asking on here as there may be a member who knows a friend who knows a relative who knows a source. I've a particular project in mind so any help is good. Jok.
  16. Rain, beautiful rain, fantastic rain, more rain.. Don't care about weeds everything is going great. Jok.
  17. We just know where this is ending. Lol. Monkeys, Eagles, you get my drift. Seems Ant got more time on his hands than me ffs. Jok.
  18. Oh and by the way, try to get your hands on some 'bog oak'. Black is preferred but brown is still valuable. Just a heads up. Jok.
  19. A dry day in Lanark. Good luck with the bench. Jok.
  20. Sounds good to me. Just think that most everything has a lock down grub screw. Just a thought. Jok.
  21. Mate. Little un looking like she means business. I really hope to see you both before too long. Jok.
  22. That's the price you pay when not regularly maintained. Moisture has inevitably rusted the moderator to the threading and it will be a b*****d. WD40 soak may save you. I got a right bollocking from my gunsmith for exactly the same problem. Good luck. Jok.
  23. I found some of these in a wood near Ashby and was informed that they were orienteering markers. Some geezer goes out and lays a trail which others have to follow and identify. Scouts or similar. Jok.
