I laugh when I think about it now. I walked in with the idea of a few Sotch pies and and ended up with £104 of everything they could offer. Fckg brilliant butcher and good family friends. Jok.
Yes SB. Baird. I was in the Burts and thought I’dget the order in. Got pissed at the funeral so collected in the morning. They are good to be fair. Jok.
For the Scots among us, I brought, among a load of other bits and bobs, some Bridies back from Scotland trip. The lovely one and I have just had one with creamed and mustard garden peas. If you can beat this I want to know how. Merry Xmas. Jok.
Just come back from over the border, with, Scotch pies, Square sausage, black pudding, white pudding, haggis, birdies and a tub of lard. Merry Xmas everyone. Jok.
Just got back from the above. To say ‘moving’ would be a gross understatement. The Church was rammed as was the Greenyards Stand. (Melrose Rugby Football Ground). National television were present as was Sky News. The service lasted just over 1. 1/2 hours which included 3 eulogies from some true greats. If I was to guess, the amount of people attending was around 2000 on the ground with many more watching from around the world. The Doddie Wier Foundation was set up to encourage further research into MND. Doddie, single handedly, forced people in high places to release an unprecedented amount of
No. I guess you won’t. But you have me. Not been at Newton Stewart for years but you got me remembering. I’m guessing at around 90\91 when a good gang used to go up from the Midlands with all the gear and all the dogs. I remember the hellish weather when we actually had to dig our way from the digs to the pub. Fck the geese. Snow was well over 2 feet deep. I’ve posted before so won’t get boring. Helll of a good times. Jok.
Aye up Bell. Thinking about you pal. We had 5 flight ponds on the shoot and another about a mile away. Whilst the 5 did not produce the other had a steady flight of both duck and geese. However, it was a dodgy night when, having dropped one which landed on the ice, the choice was mine whether or not to send the dog. I.ended up with a long length of blue rope with a brick which broke a way through the ice. We had the retrieve but not sure I would try that again. Jok.
I digress. We had a number of RM250’s when doing desert work. They were brilliant. Back in the UK I did a hospitality weekend for Kawasaki UK at Darley Dale race circuit and was asked to bring my race leathers for the final day. About 10 of us drew numbers and I got the ZX10 along with a photographer. We rode along the bypass near Sudbury prison when the geezer gave me the wring it’s neck sign. Fck me, it was amazing. At first I worried about the fact that it wasn’t mt my bike but that didn’t last long. Dean Richards smashed it to bits in the Race of Champions. Good days. Jok.
In the day, I had a CBR 800 which was the American import of the 750. My friend had the Honda K4 and another friend had, I seem to remember, a 6 cylinder Suzuki 2 stroke. It was red black and gold. Fast as fury but what was it? Jok.
He was, and is, mates with loads of lads. I think he, among other things, flies Goldies on highland stock. I might get the spelling wrong but he was understudy to Jemima Parry Jones who I last watched flying at Chatsworth Show. SORRY GUYS FOR RIPPING THE BIKE THREAD. Jok.
