  1. Absolutely wonderful. However our esteemed readers need evidence. They want pictures of the goods you describe. Now by now that is possibly too late, but in future you need to subscribe.LOL .
  2. Go and ask the farmer. You know he is just flesh and blood, but be aware, he might have sons and daughters, he might even have friends (doubtful) or he might even have people like you who already have permission to shoot the grey horde. Short of marrying into the family which at age 40 plus ,unless said daughter is into a trios then no chance. Good luck hombre.
  3. Well that fell on stony ground. Just to get your hopes up, the pigeon season is starting, or rather, the pheasant season is ending. Wish you well.
  4. Best thing to do is eat the things Terryd. Have a go son. There's loads mor e coming on.
  5. Just wish I could get lucky in my homemade trap.
  6. Don't even go there, it's a pleasure pal.
  7. I was stalking near Thetford. Actually after a fallow but on the look out. In the seat when low and behold, enter Mr Munti. Took him nice as nine pence and was about to descend when, yes, Mr Munti number 2. Good clean shot. I thought my day couldn't get any better, and thinking on, 2 shots, 2 kills, hell of a result. No. Nice big fallow decided to get in my way. End of.
  8. They'll be claiming a new breed of haggis in the Scottish Borders.LOL
  9. Posted son. I reckon it's the right size.
  10. Kenj. Can't fault you. What an lovely looking dish.
  11. Still trying to get the hang of imaging. Not good at moment.
  12. Another beauty. Liver pate from what was left hanging in my porch the other night. Did an onion, red chilli, mushrooms, belly pork, sage, thyme, black pepper and salt. Lined the loaf tin with streaky bacon and covered with same. Absolutely lovely. The guys ate it with some of my chilli pickled onions and bread and butter with there usual tipple.
  13. Right oh. Didn't know how to respond. Anyhow you can have it pal.
  14. Sounds like big head but not meant that way. 92 in 4 outings and going strong. All does from llast 29 carrying young but only( thankfully) thumbnail size. Going out again Sunday and looking for some big numbers.
  15. Do you mean a raised pie or a traditional pie?
  16. What's the point in having a knife and not using it? I've a Boker, bought in Germany whilst on a boar trip, which ,with interchangeable blades cost me a ruck of money. It never leaves my side when out. If the thought is about losing it then just be very careful. Back to Phoenix. Love them blades fella and wouldn't mind one at all.
  17. Having a mooch, in general terms , is just having a look around. It has nothing whatsoever to do with hunting/poaching or whatever. A mooch can be in an antiques fair, a cattle auction at Melton, a monthly farm sale or whatever. I have a mooch down the allotment to see if any scrotes have given me a visit. Mooch is a lovely term , mentally, allowing you to go wherever you please.
  18. Eh up pal. Got one in my hand now. It's a tad over 15mm but should do the trick. Text me your details (07967 180399) and i'll wing it to you.
  19. Yep. That ticks all the boxes. Good result.
  20. And they reckon I'm a fruitcake LOL.
  21. Always was , always will be in our neck of the woods. However, if you need help then ask is a moment away.
  22. What are you on about? Human consumption? Of course they are you clown. Why else do what we do?
  23. I'm with you Neil Cooney. If you walked in our local with similar injuries you'd be prodded and pushed to see how bad it really was. However, I hope you heal pal LOL
  24. Incidentally. For the first time ever, and because we were running late, we didn't paunch them. I did all that this morning and actually found it easier. The paunch had set and came away clean as a whistle leaving the livers intact.
  25. Trouble being , the lovely one got rid of the deep fat fryer and had one of these new fangled gadgets which only need a tablespoon of oil. Not happy but that's progress.
