    Danny.308. Calm son. I'll be one of them trolls but mean it in a nice kind of way. How does your schoolboy learn about poaching if he doesn't get involved? How many deer herds has he encountered and does he realise that they are a meat herd, probably for the Supermarket chain. I had 20 brace of birds dropped at mine last night not knowing where they originated but grateful none the less. Actually, as they were brace tied I would think from a shoot. How exactly do you think someone in a classroom is going to implement an anti poaching product?

    Never did like the spindle moulder. Could get you seriously hurt. Love my lathe though. Turned some not bad stuff. Got a reasonable wood working shop bottom of my ground. Wish I could aspire to that kind of work though.

    The long bar is connected to the drop door by way of cable ties.At the business end it just lays in the eye of the trigger mech which is shaped like a big fishing hook. bottom end has the bait and top end an eye into which the bar , holding up the door is placed. When matey boy pulls the bait the bar instantly releases and bingo, trap has him. Don't know why there should be enough room to get a gun barrel in there as we just let them go again to see if we can catch them again and again and again. LOL.Got to prove the trap. Right Walshie. LOL

    Simple straightening method. Door not being used much ie outdoor , bothie, whatever. Put the sick alongside the hinges and close the door with a little pressure. You might alter occasionally but it does do the job.

    I know one thing. In the UK the less you use the whistle in tests and trials the more you are likely to go forward. The judges are far more inclined towards hand signals. Basic training with the whistle is great but in my opinion should always be backed up with hand signals. Gradually the dog will look to you for guidance and the big hand is always good. A friend of mine always wore a white glove and another used a white handkerchief to get the dogs attention. It's back to the o ld saying. a good 20 mins in the morning and a very good 20mins later in the day. pip. I want your attention. pip

    Get any book you can written by Joe Irvine. The most inspired spaniel man on the planet when it comes to training. I remember one of his best sayings. 'when on the lead your spaniel is at rest. When off the lead he must be under control'. Won puppy open field test and RU in full blown trial. Hope that helps.

    Take the pup down the pub everyday from 12 till 2 and then again from 6 till closing. That little dog will be humanised in a very short space of time. Oh. And you will as well. LOL LOL
