Yes mate north yorks when first started keepering nearly thirty years ago I caught twenty one mink under a bridge on a small stream and every single one was a bitch mink amazingly there was a mink farm in the seventies not far away weather that had a factor not shure have only seen one dead on the road in the last couple of years but plenty of otters run over has to be the reason for the decline of the mink in this area anyway
  13. Talking to huntsman of mink hound pack says they only ever find one in three meets just not as numerous as they were twenty years ago he blames rise in otter population too much competition between them he believes

Just out of interest Aussie whip what time of year do you do your terrier work is it just the breeding season or do your foxes go to ground in your winter months as having spent a year in Australia I know your winter never really gets that cold and just wonderd if they go to ground or spend all there time on top layed up in the bush land only going under to cub ?

  20. Used to be member of North Yorkshire area but that too had similar problems with area rep buggerin of with the money that been the lad that interviewed Maurice bell on the DVD. The meetings used to be pretty good when they were held more central in north yorks then they moved it to within a few miles of the teeside and Cumbria border and the interest dwindled for me and the lads round my way shame really.
