  1. Salt content ....... You mean just whats left on the skin? Sounds reasonable I suppose although I cant imagine there'd be a great deal on there
  2. mine like them! Not sure if its coincidence or not but whenever I have fed them straight out of the sea (within a couple of hours) they have always been sick. If they have been frozen and defrosted... never an issue... Dont understand why Ive fed them both with guts in and out, never noticed any real difference to whether they like them more/less
  3. The amount of stuff they must have out there must be unreal to sustain the numbers he's getting... there must be loads of prey species to feed them as well. Different world!
  4. Didn't realise there were any around there!
  5. I have tried to download it but cant on this dodgy old iphone. Anyone that's installed it. have you tried entering your own email address to see what a report looks like? what personal info do you need to enter in either the app or the report?
  6. Not aware of any near me (North Yorkshire) There are the odd pockets of them slightly further up in the North East. Unfortunately I dont think they are up here in any great numbers I would not mined seeing a few more in northeast, I do think there's more than people realise. The places where they do exist I think are pretty well known so are likely to get frequent visits... their numbers need to spread to take the heat off

  8. Hi Mate, I may be interested in the 410 depending on cost/condition and your location. Let me know when you know what you want for it thanks
  9. I've not read all the responses so may be repeating. They work in two ways firstly with a database of camera locations and likely locations for mobile cameras. Then there is the laser beam detector thing... I used to use a road angel for a couple of years while doing high mileage, the laser detector only ever went off once in that time... The laser detector can only detect the laser when the copper already has a bead on you... Which In my opinion is too late.. I only use the camera locations thingy on my tom tom now
  10. rain and wind here so far. Cold mind

  14. My dh x grabbed one then spat it out at 16 months. Then let my little dog retrieve it. Something clicked a couple of months later though.
  15. Be a fair drive up from SOuth Wales mind but once you get past manchester on the M6 the road starts to clear and even the drive us is easy on the eye
  16. Lots of remote places in Scotland where I'm sure you could find a cabin. Argyll is stunning as is most of the remote parts
  17. welcome aboard. Always good to see post from members in other parts of the world!
  18. There are a few sustainable colonies around the UK. there is an island in one of the scottish lochs (cant remember which one), some on the isle of man and also allegedly some in the peak district (although I dont think there have been any sightings for a while) There will be others as well am sure Edited to Add: Loch Lomond, the island is Inchtavannach
  19. I keep one back in the car and don't carry it with me. Contains skin stapler, detol, few basic pads gauze type stuff. Saline and glucose solution. Also always have half a dozen of those cat food pouches which I'll give to the dogs towards the end of the night if I've started to notice them slowing down
  20. Nice pics all. It's a regret of mine not having taken many photos over the years. This one must be around 20 years ago as it is my 2nd rifle (cant remember the exact make/model (possibly Webley Excel?) someone will be able to tell me. I had a 2nd hand Spanish one for 4-5 years before called a Magnum 2000 by Gammo which had been thrashed to bits but had got a lot of stuff with it until it fell to bits. After that I had an PCP FN in 177 which I really liked. Photo taken on my last ever trip out with it. Probably over 10 years ago.
  21. Could be a worrying sign of things to come as the tech gets better, batteries last longer etc. I could imagine them kitted out with nv, sat nav and cameras feeding coordinates back to old bill stations within a few years! Be much cheaper than a proper helicopter
  22. Hell of an effort that! They're not an easy set of exams them! Especially with kids to look after as well!
  23. that is class,i could spend the day out there in me ghillie suit lol It is pretty therapeutic sitting watching/listening to them. Except for the midges!
