    In all honesty, 20 maybe on the high side. I know of and have shot a 18 pounder, and the owner of which I speak to regularly in the boozer says it still does kick somewhat, it's nearly 20 years old. However, it's wasn't that bad, if you've shot a 25 foot pound Eliminator, it was nothing compared to them rammers. If I had my ticket, a heavy duty life taking FAC HW80 would be on my f'kin list. Nuff said.

    Possible not mate. Not saying it can't be of course. The Eighty has, and had a big 'ol compression cylinder and so runs nice at 20 FPE. Especialliy the vintage mark 1's. In a way, your in the best of places, you can just bang in a decent kit, new spring perhaps, and adjust to find that sweet spot between power and nudge. I bet you could get that running nice at 14-16 without detriment to the shot cycle. V-Mach all the way.

    So did he get booted? Cant believe this is the first I've heard of it... no idea why it would be frowned upon shooing with a pistol when guests can openly view trapping, snares and the like. If anything should be frowned upon it's that... in my opinion. Id rather see game shot, with pistol, rifle whatever, than trapped.

    Went your end of the country on the jollies in June. Went to a place, can't f'kin remember the name now and it's doing my head in, opposite sandbanks, it has a working port/harbor... what looked like large milling machinery and loads of pubs along the stretch on the oppisite side of the harbor... what's that place called? Had a market too, in town and an indoor large shopping center...

    Hit the woods again this weekend... took the dog, for a change and it was more about him getting out and about but the little sod wouldn't leave the house without pinks. Proper working dog So I took the closest rifle in the cupboard and had a walk round the estate with him. Wore me Davy Crockett warmer. Bagged a nice brace for lunch tomorrow. Clear day too. The cathedral in the distance is normally out of sight. We set up shop in a heavy wooded area and buggered off home after an hour or so. Not quite a kaiser... but he's learning. I think.
