  1. Be just fine I would say. Do it. Probably stop a flamin bus @ 60 paces.
  2. One of the best wolfs I've seen.
  3. Yep. Agreed with above. I zeroed my SE with its silencer and wondered what a difference it would be without. Average 5p groups where still 5p groups but 4'ish mil dots left and two high. Right off I would say.
  4. Haha I think I've just become so accustomed to my break barrel springers, I feel like I'm better (and perhaps more challenging) sticking to what I know. Underlevers seem great and I wouldn't mind a Diana sidelever but for my current and previous permissions of waking the woods, minimal movement and quick reloading is something we all appreciate, compared to the privileges of sitting on a field edge hunting rabbits. I think the 98 is a step up from my BSA's and I feel like it's a rifle I could tune up and would make a difference too, did it cost much at SFS? Looks a beautiful stock too, al
  5. I'd px my SE tac in 22 for it but didn't think you might be interested... Apologies posted twice.
  6. Can I ask why 34? I've pondered changing mine from 27.
  7. Hi all. Just a thought on zero and using a spring rifle. Do you stand, no rest, prone, sit with back against something support from leading leg etc? I've got my 98 bang on from standing over the top of the car with a shooting bag and support from my hand and I figure most field shots are taken like this, but do others find zero from another position just as accurate in the field?
  8. I'd do a part exchange for my scorpion but you wouldn't be interested...
  9. Here here on all those comments. Just bought one myself for target shooting. Paired with a mamba 1-4 and it's fantastic. On the heavy side for my pcp arms but I'm getting used to it. Also, slightly does kick straight out the box, mines a 177 so it's to be expected until things bed in. Highly recommended even without a fettle, I do hear great things from those that have been to SFS. Pellet wise I'm getting tight groups with field target trophies.
  10. So so nice man. Wheres the stock from?
  11. AA Fields. Strangely my SE didn't get on well with Exacts.
  12. Best try all of the above. Its all preference man. Any PCP around the 500 mark is gonna do the job you ask of it.
  13. Im assuming you'd be consider nothing less than Daystate'ish territory for it?
  14. Hello forum members. I was wondering what the thoughts were towards shooting gloves, particularly on the leading hand, when using springers? Ive got myself a lovely HW98, having made the jump back from PCP and what a great move it was as Im enjoying my shooting much more with feedback from the rifle. Nice feedback too. Anyway, do many use them with regard taking the edge of the kick slightly? Do they help with consistency when shooting? I notice a few chaps at the club using them with their 97's TX's etc and though I'd pose the question with the members here. I could of course give it
  15. Nice shooting. I notice your a from the Lincolnshire area. Anywhere near the city?
  16. Fabulous post pianoman. I myself, having been shooting PCP's for a while, have got myself back on the 'road' and purchased a new HW98 on the nod of Mr Pittaway. I thought I was a good shot. How wrong I was. Back to the drawing board, but in a peculiar way, Im rather happy about that. Best wishes.
  17. Hello all. Tomorrow I plan to make the purchase of the above rifle for the price of £400 and I really do understand that the question may have been asked before, but how do we rate this rifle? I plan on the .177 version, already owning a .22 scorpion. I have done the reading over the past few weeks and watched numerous YouTube media on the rifle. To be honest everyone seems to rate them highly. The few questions I do have (and there is no better forum to put this out there) is, what are the thoughts on the recoil with the smaller calibre? I understand that the weapon does kick somewh
  18. Ive popped by to say a quick hello. Firstly hello all. Im not the biggest forums user by any means, I spend all day in front of a computer [graphic designer] so tend to enjoy being away from one, but found myself spending more time on these forums due to my re found love of shooting and rifles of all sorts. I shot with my dad when I was younger, he used to shoot rimfires and small bore for Leicestershire County and I have enjoyed the sport for nearly 20 years, finding my own feet in the air gun catergory. I own a fabulous Scorpion SE in Tac form, a Lightning with a Theoben gas strut which
