  1. Hi all. Just a quick question I've thought of this morning while mounting my Menace to my 98. Firstly, I have to have my ocular lens a bit further away from my eye to get the right relief from the glass which means that the nearest mount doesn't fall over the top of the last of the three recoil pins on the rifle. The scope is set up lovely with the rifle, however, with it being a springer, what are your thoughts on not using the pins when fixing the mounts down, and how much do you think or have experienced the zero shift from not using the pins when using scope and springer? It annoys
  2. Lovely post man. All round, from rifles to groups to images. Know the itch well too...
  3. Basically give it an inch low, either up hill or down hill. Depending on your set up of course.
  4. Air Arms are Wont sell me an Pro Sport action.
  5. Hmm. All it takes is for one to mention the bad points and its all up in the air in my mind. Im plannig of testing one down at the range here and see how I get on. Like any rifle, pros... cons... Theres always the 1517 to fall back on
  6. Top Topic. Ranges for me, should not exceed 45 yards, standing, supported, whatever. The higher the range, the more 'luck' involved. Enough said. If you cant get within 45 yards of your target, you shouldn't be shooting it, its perhaps down to a respect thing as mentioned above.
  7. Hi all. Has anyone purchased or know the price of the pro sport action? Everything bar it's furniture. I plan on giving AA a bell tomorrow but thought I'd put it out there to you lot before hand. Thanks in advance.
  8. 98. Although. Id love a 97KT. Bit on the heavy side though.
  9. Anyone have any experience with Lincolnshire police with regard these posts? Just applied for my first ticket for a 22lr t-bolt, targets mainly, I do have a permission thought that is put forward. Fabulous news all of these.
  10. Cedric. Stay springer mate. I was pcp myself and realised that I picked up bad habits within my shooting. If you go the pcp route, you'll shoot well and accurately, and no doubt take quarry easily enough, but they disconnect the shooter from the shooting... (Rufferling some feathers here). I personally find that shooting spring rifles easily outweighs, in terms of reward, that of a pcp, as I feel as though I'm adding to the process of consistency. Do what's best for you in the end.
  11. I think it's down to the "chance" that round could be mis fed into the breech with multi shot magazine. I personally have found that my multi shot SE is more consistent over perhaps a 20-25 shot string with its single shot adaptor than it is with its magazine. Naturally, it's an opinion, but maybe in hft where every shot counts, as it does with live quarry of course, and competition settings create a mind over matter thing, other than the no no with multishot rifles, they perhaps make the shooter mentally more comfortable, therefore shooting more consistanly, as they can feel the pellet into t

    Twosome.

I'm a lefty. Can it happen with these? After a quick search I see or hear that they deliver 250-300 rounds per fill, is this true in real world shooting?

    Twosome.

You'll perhaps say 'there great', but what are they like those bullpups from Kalibr? They look the dogs bollox imo dressed in wood. I dont see many about... if any. Villaman asked the same I have just seen.
  14. Alright man. I remember a supplier from the us, shame I know, wolf air guns I think there called, that supplied Gamo 440 main springs. Apologies I'm not a gamo man. Best bet is to call a sound gun shop and see what they say.
  15. Yes, so I hear about the rimfire LR. It was either that or the 17hmr but hear there quite an expensive tip. Perhaps pros and cons to both rounds. Elliot seen your 'tube channel mate a few weeks ago. Got me thinking about the Anschutz... Seems you came from the HW side of things too. Not looked back Im guessing?
  16. Nice one. I'll keep you all updated with my ticket appliance and rifle purchase. Thanks again.
  17. Thanks chaps. Much appreciated. Does the zero shift much between hollow point and target rounds? I'm guessing I've got the 'it's a good rifle nod' then.
  18. Perhaps, and some may come back with some different options, [lets bypass Gamo for a minute], your looking a BSA or a HW springer then. Check these out: BSA Supersport BSA Lightning HW57 through to 95 depending on price < Quality springers as Im actually finding out myself. As above, do ask pianoman. He'll advise much better.
  19. Hi all. Firstly. I normally wonder around the airguns threads on the HLF, so hello, but thought I'd pass by and ask about the rifle in the title. Ive applied for my FAC and would like to you know your thoughts and opinions re the Browning T-Bolt Target Varmint .22lr. Naturally Ive read and read alot of reviews and all seem to say that its rather rated. Ill be new to the rimfire discipline, but its something that interests me greatly and will mainly use it for target shooting but do have a permission available to me. I will be selling my Scorpion SE to fund the rifle, but will keep my Falco
  20. What might be your budget? Perhaps it'll whittle down from that...
