  1. That's it then, if they say it's the best calibre, topic closed (They also love the 22 to be fair.) There as good as each other... The calibres. For God sake. It's kinda getting like a cracked record.
  2. Bang on that my man. Some proper rifles, no pissing about. Real smart. Nice stag beddin too.
  3. He might have done..... .303? We've said all of um now.
  4. Looks like a Cometa Lynx... A nice one. Seems your trigger is a bit different though... From what I remember them like. I recon you're gone 20 or 25
  5. Skan Bullpup...?! A blast from the past... Remind me of the Falklands and the SA80's. Get some images up of it if you can mate
  6. 100 beans and its on the 100... originally it was for the Fenman, but the eye relief is like a Viper Connect [Just bare that in mind]... so its too far away for the Fenman with its massive cheek piece and the wank Theoben fixed rail.
  7. Just got myself a new optics for the 100... Nikko Stirling Panamax 3-9x40 AO. Right. First things first, I personally think NK scopes are a bit shit, its just me, the cheap ones are really cheap and I haven't had that much time with the target masters etc. This new one, the Panamax, came up on a Uttings newsletter just at the right time. I thought I'd take a punt, from reading the limited reviews on the net. Without beating around the bush. Its in another league compared to any Hawke scope I have used in the same price range. The glass is so clear and the field of view is enormous for a 40

Yes. One major one is mil dot calibration stays the same no matter what mag it's being used on. At 4x the mil dots are so fine, there hardly legible. At 6x, which is what I shoot at, on the PS, I never aim to high or low. On rabbits I aim just below the eye, if it's under 20 yards, the pellet would clock it below the ear, if it's anything further, out to 40 say, the pellet will strike the neck. Everything in between is dead on.
  9. To be fair, with regard the magnums... If any one has shot these through a springer... the drop is unbelievable. Like a stone they fall. 4 dots you have to give for a 30 yard paper target. Just remembered that from the post above. Almost unusable.

I havent mate. It has glided by quite close on occasions last summer. Its got a 'little' man made house thing in a cattle barn... I wandered by it today tracking some rabbits, the entrance was dark even in the day time and out came the white grim reaper, startled me to honest. Its like a proper predator. Standard. With all our air guns and mods, we're still pretty shit compared.

Yes, it is, but not on Sundays. Safety wise, I dont cross when a train is coming Balance is kinda ok really... Ive shot it for so long now, Ive perhaps got used to it. I did have a raiser before to lift the scope higher, it was defiantly was rather dodgy then. The menace is bloody heavy though so it almost helps keep the rifle on line when shooting. Absolute bangin scope I must say. Recommended.
  12. That is a pucker rifle man. Properly. Try the usuals. I run it on JSB 4.52/53 for a start. Maybe even the Exact heavies...
  13. It's a running problem this. The lead is just toooooo soft, but some barrels just like that softer make up. H&N are superb and I wouldn't say there is anything between them grouping wise.
  14. Got out this morning while the other half was in bed with a hang over... few hours with the 97 and planned to get back again in the afternoon with the PS, of which I did. Both forays went ok, missed a few on the second outing due to be used to the hold over with the .22 the previous trip, but the permission is rife with rabbits at the moment. As most probably are. Through the land a train line runs and the buggers have warrens riddled into the side of the ditch running parallel with the line. I sit or mooch up one side and shoot down onto them the other side which is, at best guess, betwe
  15. Mint image, bag, and rifle. Your posts are quite a treat. Nice one.
  16. I've just come across this on the choob. Kinda interesting watch. Typical gun ho yanks, so forgive that but the rifle seems a good rabbit dropper... Out to about 200 yards not subtle as you can imagine. Last year I did the Gunpower website for the UK owner (it's not updated as much as I'd like, but there's nothing I can do about it, he's paid his bill) so I keep an eye on the gunpower side of things from time to time, hence coming across this. Ohhhhhhh yyyeeeaaaahhhh
  17. As in the title. Bolt on ones. Need to be straight, obviously
  18. Arent you getting an S410...?! 100 is the best PCP for all uses. Mr William's is correct... he loves his 100 so much, I think this is him... Dunno what the straps are for though...
