    Third Half

Its alright man. It's took me ages to get used to it. I don't actaully want it on the fenman, it's not right, I don't know why. It's not heavy enough for me, perhaps. I've bought a rail from some nob on this forum who is yet to post it, so I'll be naming him if it doesn't arrive soon, I can then add any dovetail onto the rifle, the Panamax no doubt. It's most defiantly suited to PCP and HFT nerds, ret wise.
  2. Got out this evening after treating the misses to the afternoon at the all about dogs show at Newark. It's the first time I've actually got to shoot my Fenman at anything more than 15 yards which was in her rents garden. Started dire. Real dire. But after a while the groups started closing up, nothing like acceptable, but well in 15 mm. I said in a previous post about the firing cycle being no diff to the springers, but it is as the range gets longer. Very different. At 30, my mistakes showed. It's amazing how it feels the same, perhaps quicker with the lock time, but God its a real art I
  3. I'd go super lite. I think there so mint. Looking and shooting. KT's are sound, but honestly, no one is good enough to split them at the far end of there performance levels. They'll both stick a pellet up the arse of each other all day long, it's down to looks this one and the super lite looks better. I'm thinking of getting a super lite myself... If I'm allowed another one.
  4. As Im shooting more and more Im finding myself getting annoyed that the change of position when shooting alters the zero point marginally. Naturally with springers only. I generally zero prone, with HFT in mind, not that I shoot it much these days. My PS is dead on this way, so is the 97. Fine. But when sat against a tree or with me back to something, or even standing supported, Im seeing the shots fall around 10-11 o’click of the bull, about 10mm out and slightly different with the 97. If I go back to prone, both rifles are dead centre again. Ive narrowed it down to the way my leading h
  5. Pheasants are really air gun game though... lets be honest. There too posh and dont present any real challenge as they just woddle about. Unless there in flight, then there not a target of mine, which they never are anyway. However I have been known to drop one on the wing with my 97 from about 50 yards. "Straight through the brain" Hutchin. Get a Hawke. Or a Panamax from Nikko Stirling. Best 100 beans you'll spend.
  6. Im toying with getting my Mk1 Reg'd... whats the thoughts on the process? Who and where would I get this done? [before anyone says it, I know KevG would be able to help, but I dont seem to be able to find his contact] Nice one.
  7. Never heard of one. I'll be interested in seeing it... And if anyone else has one
  8. Get something on the heavy side, well balanced. MTC Viper would be a good un, or the Sidewinder, cant fault the Falcon Menace myself but there not everyones cuppa.
  9. Membership is £35 for the year and £4 on Wednesday, 6 til 9 and £5 on Sunday, 12 til 6. Zero range... lanes with targets from 8 yards to 45 yards for paper, prone lanes and a full course with 30 knockdowns. None members. I dont know
  10. Properly recommend the JSB Exact Heavies @ 10.34. Im using them in 177 through the Fenman. The design, seems to aid the strength of the pellet in the tin, with the 'weak' point @ the middle gone, they all are fine within the tin. They "seem" to hit like a 22 with the flight path of a 177. Mac, do you give any hold over for that set up? Your Scorp and Mags? Or hold under at closer range?
  11. You killer you what you just took a close up picture of a tree for? Or are you in it?
  12. Bisley swivels work fine on my own mate. Take care with the butt screwing got too tight and it'll snap the thead.
  13. Unusual request. But interesting. So you want to make your own gun? Im guessing, and its just a guess here... but the machinery might be too expensive, even the cheap machinery. As an edit, you can download it from some where... someplace on the net, if you sign up
  14. khutchinson. Get on facebook and join the Lincs HFT group. You'll meet the lads there and they invite you along. https://www.(!64.56:886/groups/1490975621132271/
  15. "any help or advise with getting this damn scope right would be much appreciated." Practise. You'll soon out grow that set up. Like... by tomorrow. All the best.
  16. Hold on a minute... you've got a Pro Sport...?! What are you thinking... your downgrading.
  17. Get the 99. It'll be 10 x the rifle... promise. Even without the thumbhole and mod.
  18. Villaman with a joke?! A funny one too! Well I never.
  19. Ha. Adie. I dont actually say he's OK in my post do I? Yes, he is a bit of a prick, but once you get to know him, he's actually alright. Just dry, very very dry. Its a good job you dont go into buy him then...
  20. Welcome my man. I'm on burton road myself... Get your arse to waddington HFT club mate, I'll see you there tomorrow. Where are you going to buy? If it's city air weapons... YOU WILL NOT be allowed to take the rifles out the cabinate unless your buying. But his stock is superb. I've had 4 rifles from him and they have been some of the best I've owned. Forest lodge guns in Wragby are super too, but limited stock for air rifles, unless your a full bore shooter, then you can get anything and everything to kill a blue whale.
  21. Rightly so, but god, let's all stop slappin our cocks over the point seven. It's getting boring. A good shot with a 22 will hit the target just as much as those with 177. Jesus.
