  1. Perhaps, but my action is liquidy... I important cog in the set up, and Ive spent plenty of time getting it right too. You you do have a fair point. If I do it right and plan well, it might turn out ok... he who dares rodney. I could carbon wrap it yes... I shall have a think.
  2. If you want to buy new then the choice is made... If you dont, then go for the Rapid. Get a piece of history.
  3. PS - Mark, please don't suggest a HW100....I don't like them....no offence...
  4. Shit image Just a bloody silhouette. Like something Batman would use... As in its shape... From that image.
  5. FN12?! Mint mate. Pictures... Reminds of getting AirGunner in the nintez than model. Didn't they do a proper smaller version too? FN8 or 10? The 8's a pistol I think...
  6. Yes its a tool for a job. That is all. Consistency can get boring sometimes. Thats what boredom is. The same thing over and over. Id completely disagree with it being a 'target rifle', [i know some people use there 100's for targets, I have, but not as in 'points' targets... Id question, what is the shooter actually doing to show I high level of skill? Its a small gripe I have with all target sports using PCP's, including HFT. Learn your ranges, get your PCP set up right, and to be honest in 177, you'll aim dead one from 8 - 45 yards in certain circumstances. Theres a chap at my club,
  7. My god do it. Seriously. DO IT! Do it yourself too.
  8. Im thinking of doing a bit of a paint job on my 97. Its silver at the minute, or 'stainless' but Im hoping to give it a coat of paint, the right paint and process, to make it matt black, keeping the mod, or barrel weight gloss blued as is. Whats the process and what might I need to look at or do? Tar.
  9. As Ive said in a pm in the past... Ill have that Rapid if it needs to go
  10. No no one who has one, I can only go on the internet reviews like yourself perhaps. There expensive, so would expect the usual output, performance etc. Its the look of it thats gonna sell it or not. I quite like it, as well as the Kricket etc.
  11. No mate, I just walk round with in my hand Anyway. In my signature man. Mods a SAK rim fire job, no better than the standard HW, and AA Fields four five twos. Cheers mate. I'm picking a falcon up tomorrow and trying the barracuda hunter extremes in it in .177. Hope the barrel like them as I think they'll have good knock down power Keep us informed. Your a rapid man aren't ya?

  13. Cue the hounds... But he has a point.
  14. Ha. I have no idea what to say reading you two swinging your handbags Thanks for the comments random. Mac, bang out of order sunshine (kiss) Much love.
  15. Always has been Matt... just you havent
  16. You've made the right choice my man. Have you gone purist with a 30/30 or the BDC?
  17. Tempted. But I can only put my 97 on the table and that ain't gonna happen... Plus you've had more 97's than hot dinners. What are you realistically hoping for?
  18. Spot on. I got one that sounds about the same nick wise and I paid 650 rifle only. Worth every penny. Your selling, or buying, whatever the case maybe, a legend, who cares if it's not as accurate (it is, but perhaps not as consistent when un reg'd, and you don't reg a mk1, get a mk2 if you want a reg) as today's high end models, it set the standard of PCP field rifles from the word go. I don't really shoot mine, it's more of a thing to have, than use, which is strange as it's meant to be used, ultlilitarin and all that.
  19. Best image I've seen. Proper little red devil.
  20. Had the morning off so decided to get myself up the fields and away from my damn macbook for a bit. Its still in my mind that for the first time in my shooting hobby I have a bit of a job to do regarding thinning out those rabbits. I now have a contact that takes them off me for a pie shop near the cathedral, on the agreement that they are head shot and the body has no markings into terms of holes. Hence forth the 100, again. I know its getting a bit boring seeing images of this rifle with about a dozen rabbits, but this is the point Ive always made about the 100, its so surgical, its
  21. No but already answered. My 7 doesn't like it mind. Not being reg'd that first shot is a bit weary if it's been left for a while, after that it's back to a 5FPS spread.
  22. Nikon optics are properly pushing the quality and cost boundaries. If they did a half inch mil dot, hawke etc can sod off. Optically and generally aesthetics are super. Real nice. Until you get one, you dont know how good they are. The focus always seems to be on the bullet side of things though.
  23. Has it been shot since its fill? I fill mine to 200, on the money, but give it a few days and the pressure drops. In fact, if you fill you own 100 to 200 bar, leave it ten minutes and you'll find there is 190'ish in it as the pressure settles... obvs over a period of days I wouldn't expect it to settle 40 below, but its something to bear in mind. There maybe nothing wrong with it at all. As an edit, if its filled fast this happens. It actually still happens when filled slow but a lot less.
  24. She defiantly shoots a bigger calibre than that... .357 Lapua Magnum is small fry by the looks of it. Im talking like 20mm WW2 shit here.
