  1. Are these range finders any good from Hawke? Im tempted, dont really want to spend a lot as I wont rely massively on it, but just to need gauge some distances. Im looking at the 400 and 600 models mainly. Nice one.
  2. I doubt there will be enough aim points for hold over either unless your on 3-4 x mag. Then you wouldn't see it anyway.
  3. My two pence is the heavier the better, but some have mint set ups with light weight 3-7x32's etc. Especially on a 99 for example. Your 95 is much between the 99 and the 80/98, so its a choice that dictated by your style and how the set up performs. However, 98/80s will work with such lightweight scopes. For you Id look at the Varmint from Hawke. I had one months ago on my 100, different i know but the tube is nice and long for your lamps and they have good glass and half mil dot ret, they dont have AO but do have side focus which I found spot on for range finding. It would also look t
  4. Rez, thats why i took the pics I couldnt believe Id shot so well after having a crap day. Mk1 Again

    Proper bird basher.
  6. Whats your aim points Mark at 20 when zeroing at 34 with the 100? Just out of interest... Thinking of going there myself. Currently I set @ 30 for all my rifles.
  7. And... Im surprised Mark Williams hasn't been by to post about 177 being the best calibre...... Oh. Wait he has
  8. Can you upload a close up of the group please? I dont believe you...
  9. So. This post is at a new permission I have recently secured. Most of my current shooting land is a good 30 min drive and I was in need some something a little closer to home to shoot my targets. With no expectation of luck, I went about it the old way and wrote a letter to a selected location of farms and decent land I had noticed while walking, driving and being about whenever. With a good 10 or so farms picked, I wrote my letter and included references from my current permissions. Out of the 6 I sent out, I'm saving the others for another time, 2 replies. The first one was an email sayi
  10. Well one is 70 quid and the other 15 Whats your PS outputting? Just out of interest.
  11. Is it in good nick and accurate? So to speak.
  12. .22 Good choice. Bed it in and then see how silky smooth it is... Nice one. *in fact I think its a 177... you dont see many 22 PS's come up second hand as there the better rifle...
  13. Leave it as is mate. PCP's are a bit different to be low'ish powered... When theres no issues with the firing cycle so to speak. My PS is only doing 9.7ftlbs and have no issues on either feather or fur. None.
  14. Bangin. The only thing I dont like about the BSA PCP's is the bolt and magazine doesn't feel as robust as the other multi shot 'air' guns on the market for the same price. The 100 magazine is in another league, and the AA's.
  15. Just noticed there's an R10 Black Pepper gone... I'd chew my trigger finger off for one.
  16. Alright man. I had a B2 Chinese affair years back, bashed the starlings with it something rotten. My old man bought it with a cheque through the post for 30 beans. It got me into shooting, other than the man indoors clipping me around the ear when I slacked on my leading hand. Pictures are good. Get um up. You'll soon out grow it. Stick with the mechanical side of things, otherwise you'll become a good shot in your own head Peace.
  17. 3 easy fixes for that Rez, first of all loosen the bolt slightly and pull the cocking lever down a couple of inches, hold it there and nip the bolt up. That cures 90% of dropping levers. Next have a look at the cocking shoe, sometimes if the bolt isn't tight enough the shoe will wear on the bolt and the hole will go oval, also the hole and pin that links the shoe to the cocking rod can wear, just replace the pin and shoe. Lastly, look at the little housing on the cocking rod, that contains a spring which will wear over time, replace that spring.Regards Tim Didn't bloody cure mine timmmmehhh
  18. How the f**k did they transport all that gear...
  19. Got one in mine. Well worth the strip down. Watch that lever cocking bolt in the cylinder... Once it comes loose and you loose tension, the lever popping open from time to time will get one your tits like nothing else and the more you take it apart the more it gets looser. I had to order a new piston cylinder in the end.
  20. Pah. I won't jonnie. We're getting on ok. To be honest, getting used to it has took me ages and plenty of coins on pellets. It really is a f****r to tease into some tight ass groups, but when we gel, its damn near perfect for me. The only gripe I have with it and it's a major balls up by Theoben, is the theoben mounting system. The cheek piece is high, which I like, the wood is good, real smooth and that. The pistol grip is a joy. My god the trigger is one of the best, if not thee best I've used, seriously. There's like 3 stages to it, real crisp and sure. It is the most hold sensitive rifle
