  4. Skim read the other posts... I own both. I do not need to mention the accuracy of either. PS is devastatingly good and a better 'shooting rifle' than my 97. My own PS is a 177, and it is my HFT rifle. My 97 is an out and out brute in the field in 22. The PS is perhaps more 'delicate' than the 97, only due to the cocking mechanism, it is wank I think, but it is smooth as you like in shooting [Mine isn't standard mind]. Both rifles are pellet on pellet at 25-35 yards when you do your bit. The 97 is a good companion in the field, savagely good and it will stay with me if I had to
  5. 95. 99. Worth it. Buy cheap, buy twice. Skim read others so some may have mentioned the same
  6. Personally Mac i would find it easier to shoot .177 before .22. All .22 lads/ gals need to know their mill dots like the back of their hands whereas .177 put the crosshairs on that quarry and squeeze off that trigger within reason that is. Saying that, breeze is more a worry than range in .177. I've been thinking about this this morning. The general consensus is, 177's drift a bit more in the breeze/wind due to being lighter, 22's don't as much due to there extra weight. What about the thought that the larger 'surface area' of a 22... meaning IT is more suseptable to the
  7. Mac. I swear you just chew at the bellies when your gutting ya rabbits mate... Or you use blunt scissors
  8. Nice grain... One piece on a 100... Tut tut
  9. You have a monthly column in Airgunner?!?!?! Your perhaps the most famous person I know Apart from Rick Parfitt Jnr. And. As an edit, thats one of the nicest blogs Ive seen. Nicely done Charlie.
  10. Hmmm. This does have me interested... I'm going on flammin holiday at the end of Aug. I'd have it but I need to sell some of the others first... Might have to start replying to some of those pm's.
  11. Managed to get out this evening for an hour at the Manor House, while the Mrs did something or another. Arrived. Out come the owners followed by a jack Russell that must of been a few years older by the looks of it, @ 94 and 96 respectively, they did repeat themselves a few times during a 5 minute chat and invited me in for a look round. I politely declined, thinking they may be something out of some Hitchcock flick and eat people, I'm in Lincolnshire after all. Anyway, they've allowed me use of the pool... So I said I'd be back on a hotter day for a dip. I said bye and had a wander round
  12. Interesting post. Some real good looking custom springer... Like these 177 or 22. Im a graphic designer. The bottom one makes my c*ck 'ard.
  13. Mint scopes man. I dont own one, went the Sidewinder route myself, but if its as good then its good. Maybe, and just maybe, a bit of overkill for your Ultra... But its only a thought. As mentioned above re the mil dots.
  14. Got out this morning, well early.. for me, about 5.30am... couldn't sleep for various reasons. Took the Rapid and got the bugger zero'd. Using Macs old AirMax with the Map6 ret. Works a flammin' treat on the rifle, mil dots are bang on at all designated ranges with a zero @ 30. Not much about strangely, the ones that were about had wised up. These two sat around a bit to long.

  18. Fenman. Rapid. Longbow.
  19. Clearing out a few of my rifles chaps. All of them are in superb condition and full working order and I welcome any inspection or trial. The only reason for sale is I fancy something else. Its a thought thats just come across me so I wanted to quickly get them out there. Pictures to follow or if anyone requests them. Theoben Fenman Mk1 .177 I bought this very recently for £250 from a lad in Leeds. Superb condition, absolutely. The trigger is the best Ive used. Almost 3 stages to it. Wood work is A1 condition. Hydeau [Or however you spell it] with the high cheek piece. As its in almost the
