  1. HM1000 mate. Not got it yet, deposit put down. Should be sound from what I've heard, but naturally won't need two pcp's of the same standard, so to speak.
  2. Alright man. Yes it is. Its perhaps the best for the money. If that makes sense. However, most 450+ PCPs will bang out the same hole all day. They are good. The loading system is the best out there I personally think. Its been well thought out and engineered. They are surgical. Mine is. Some have problems, but all models do irrelevent of brand, mainly just a wipe of the barrel from what Ive seen and heard. It would be all the rifle you need. But dont just go that way without looking at the other possibilities, there are some sweet PCP set ups out there and if you have a 'more t
  3. Id second Brocock. Super 6 Elite
  4. The chaps have mentioned some of the best. Without starting a row and Mark is right, the HW100 is probably the way to go, but if you start 'smaller' as in cost, its something he can work up too and appreciate the lesser models so to speak. Not that any aren't gonna put all mags worth of pellets inside 1/2 inch at any distance. Ive mentioned before if you dont start with other models, you dont really see the amount difference a top end field PCP/Springer makes. If you got him a 100, when he gets the urges to want something new... it'll only be as good performance wise, as they really dont come
  5. Nice man. Forgot about you you've been away so long. Keep us updated.
  6. The differences are minute but they basically are the same shape, quite literally. The most interesting difference is the inside back end as shown, which could lead to various set ups liking certain ones, for example of how the 'air pressure' makes contact with the pellet. Only used JSB's in my old Scorpion. Everything Ive shot since has loved AA Fields, 4.52 or 5.52.
  7. Superb. Nice to see some pies in the hunting write ups, rather than typical rabbits etc. like my own bloody posts. Your 100 177 or 22?
  8. I'd second Timmytree's post, mines set up the same way.
  9. Looks like proper armature porn that mate. Real nice. The R10's always look better with the stubby barrel. Real nice that. I just can't go back to BSA after the HW100 magazine myself. The HW magazine just seems better thought out. No mechanics etc. However the look of that makes up for it, and if it performs as good as it looks. End of.
  10. Alright man. Well, funnily enough I was thinking this today, its been on my shortlist the US. Why is a better rifle?
  11. I use H&N FTT 0.177 in mine. Tried 20+ different pellets and these are the best. With the Weirach F&T Specials a close second. Where as my own prefers the softer pellet. Strange really. AA/Exact. I might actually five the little fizzers [H&N] another try.
  12. A raider came to mind Mac, but Im guessing he wants something compact... I dont know why. Full length most defiantly. You'll get a lot for your money too.
  13. An Ultra mate. Real top end performance, full size proportions, but kinda neat and compact. Im not personally a fan of the loading/indexing etc of the BSA systems, but thats just me. If you can stretch to 600 your getting into the high end field PCP markets, maybe even the Ultramax, which comes with everything you'll need. Anything after that has to be in the AA S410 area. Or you could get a secondhand 100... For 500 your second hand buying choices are much bigger.
  14. Aaaannnnndddddddd jmilam08 gets slapped Tiz a shame. Almost a waste of time breaking it down to be honest. How many people own raiders that want parts... Just buy a new one.
  15. Does the S200 suit you? Just out of interest. There rather small, I'm guessing your not on the chunky side? crackers mind. The only negative and it's only an opinion is the foriegn build of them, think there built Eastern European. Not in the UK. Wish AA did a 510 with the same kinda target influenced wood work. Well in your budget a S200... You could get better.
  16. Good to hear and welcome with your first post
  17. Deposit by the looks of it, only because I shoot left handed, and a week or two so the man said on the dog and bone.
  18. Cheers Mark. I do indeed. Whatever PCP I get will be in 177 to be honest. The calibre suits them, Im not saying a 22 is bad by the way. Or any other calibre for that matter.
  19. There good comments. I just fancy something different. I do see you points though. So basically whats being said is that its a sorted rapid and 100 in one Nuff said.
  20. What makes you say that?
  21. Rez you have 6 air rifles listed(1 is for sale)what does this give you that the other 5 don't? Y.I.S Leeview Thats a good point and the only one to notice it, but as above, Im selling the Fenman this weekend and Ill look at getting rid of the Rapid and the 100 in due course. The 100 should sell ok, its mint and has proved itself. The Rapid may be harder as its generally 'time-wasters' that want to know more, this and that etc from what Ive heard from friends that sell them. They dont do anything more to be honest mate, Im just after something new.
  22. Thats the man and thats the rifle Ive seen. So. The cash is there, Im just waiting [for something...] to go ahead and do it. I fancy something a bit different. I like um. I dont know why. Id go for the sporter one myself in standard walnut, left hand of course. Perhaps need to flog my 100 for this, but as you may well all know, its a bit of risk as we all know how accurate the 100 is. Its the accuracy I would like to find in the HM, nothing more, naturally as long as its fits well. Ill be handling one soon. Im planning on getting the brood down to 3, two springers and this.
