Delia Smith has gone on record saying that anyone who uses white pepper is common and not a cook.....i use white and black pepper all the time.......yorkshire puds and gravy made from the juices of the beef ..would not work without white pepper......white pepper and salt for my boiled egg ..... needless to say after the pic was taken....white pepper was applied the spode is going nowhere...its just ive been looking at it for over 50 years that and bloody "eternal bow" which my wife bought and i hated.... now both are gone i can cook and eat what i want i can have

Perch cleaned and scraped.....then slashed on the flanks and buttered...and grilled....is in my view far tastier than trout when i was a nipper and got a decent pike...it was cleaned and filleted and soaked in vinegar and salt and water overnight prior to cooking...(used to get rid of that muddy taste)

  16. i had a clutch of spaniels .....and know what you are talking about.... i used to works on big earthworks...and years ago we were stabilising an embankment with a thick mesh...it was about 2" thick...spongy...it looked as if it had been made with squirting jets of plastic.....this was pinned to the embankment and hydro-seeded..... i knabbed a few squre metres of it...and cut it to fit the dog bed...the wet dogs loved it...they would lay under the infa red lamps and the air would circulate around them and underneath....every couple of weeks i would take it out and spray it down with t
