christ Mel that sound to die for ..with a crusty fresh roll or 2...........you need a 2nd mortgage for fine scallops now i will try the chowda version and add mabe chopped crab sticks few king prawns...and a little pot of crab paste all gently stired in i rekon you could do it with haddock and muscles and stuff

its a super easy dish to do.....no la-di-da fancy spices....if i were doing the chowder version i would do the chopped leeks and onions in the steamer first...and add king prawns and a scooped out crab or crab sticks if they are decent ones...maybe use monkfish chunked up will defo do it again

yup without the onions and leeks......cullen skink is the scottish chowder.........really simple reciepe

An old Victorian dish...........most young kids would look at that and go ""eerrr fish in milk ...yuck" but older folk knows better............when i was young i would have had half a loaf of tiger bread with this to mop up the gravy,,,but that would kill me now...

i have in the past used cider for muscles....cider single cream chives thin sliced onions and fresh garlic..

bet those fish cakes tasted good...............im doing a fish meal with difference for tomorrow,,,,, its an old style dish....alot of folkwill turn their nose up at it.......unlike your cakes simple food like that is always the best

i have an oxtail about 3 times /year.....in a casserole i believe it is the finest tasting meat known to man...the casserole will contain carrots (baby)...leeks...and baby pots...some wine.... and towards the end covered by a thick norfolk dumpling
