Left handed Mach2 ..... Any ideas?
jamie g replied to trephilgar's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
im your they do one in a annie with lefthand bolt ? why not give the annie dealers a bell and see mate. have you made sure you can get the ammo local as a lot of shops dont seam to stack this -
yes ideal. but i would just get the 170 it has abit more range plus could be better suited to centrefire if you want to use it on that in future
-
i think it will be ok mr l just keep a eye on it next time your out and make sure after a couple of shots

Suggestion for Scope .22LR on lamp duty.
jamie g replied to mattydski's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
That was my original choice John, but Mr L. expressed opinions that it was not up to the lamp job... due to the thickness of the recticule.. Matt i find the mtc perfect for lamping i guess we all like different things on our rifles. ive shot a load of rabbits with mine. Cheers Jamie, ive shot hundreds with my current set up as well, but i am a perfectionist and i'm just not convinced it is making it an easy job of it. Having said that, its night and day with my mates tasco, utter crap even in comparison to my nikko gold. Matt mate you can have the best rifle -
good one little dude keep it up. its great to see the younger lads like yourself shooting and its just what this sport needs mate. go's to show that not all the younger kids today are up to no good

soo as the leaves are falling off the trees is a good time. you can see them better but that means they can see you better to. i find a cross point where they run along the trees sit out from it about 25 to 30 yards and still and they will pass you by. you can then pick them off as most the time they will stop. because they wont worry about you. its only if your under the tree and moving they keep running. i have shot a fair amount on my shoot with 12ftlb air and fac air.

its it for one that is for a clip on to scope or is it just a hand held one to scan with ? what scope have you got it maybe that you need one with px and eye focus to make the image clear. i no the mtc and falcon scopes work well with night vision. you just have to get the eye focus and px set right to get the night vision to work better with it

yes all the above rifles are good and accuracy will be top stuff with all of them. savage are top of the list in accuracy in most of the reviews i have seen from out of the box. they can be pretty heavy if you get the varmint barrel one. my winchester is a a lovely rifle to shoot. smooth bolt, trigger is good with a tweak of the screws, safety is good on it to if you use one that is. its only downfall is i would perfer a rifle with a mag not push feed. i think it would be more easy at night when getting ready to shot foxes. you keep the mag in the pocket and put it in the rifle whe

i still have a powerpell pellet in my right calf from when i was about 15. i was out with a mate shooting as you do when your young. he was behind me and slipped over the gun went of and hit me in the leg. went to the a&e and they gave me some tablets to take and after a month i was ok but the pellet was left in there. it still gives me pain in the winter months lol -
what i would say to you is how do you get on with the air arms rifle ? do you shot well with it ? if so why change

i have a 4x16x50 mtc on mine i find it perfect. i love the crosshair system and it works for me so that scope does me fine. but i never go to 16 mag on it as i find 8 to 10 mag more then i need. if you shoot rabbits at full mag you shorten your field of view and you also see yourself shake more when on full mag which can be off putting.

i think uttings is the best layed out site. it looks good is easy to find stuff on and they stuff is in the right places to find.

Not really sure how much your thinking of spending but iv got a .17hmr sako quad synthetic and i love it.Super accurate, light weight,no worries about scratching wooden stock + if you did fancy going back to 22lr,you just change the barrel, the rifle costs roughly £500.The HMR will make a mess of rabbits so only head shots if selling or eating them.Iv shot a fair few foxes with it,some out to 150yards so dont belive some of these people who say its only good on foxes within 50-70 yrds.hope iv been some help to you. i no a hmr would kill a fox if you aim the shot right at 150 yards ! but
