  3. no such thing as best air rifle on the market. its the one that suites you best. no point having the most dear rifle on the market if you dont like it when shooting it. ive had a good amount of air rifles. bsa lighting air arms tx 200 webley eclipse sharp invnova 3x air arms 410k rapid mk 1 rapid mk 2 in 177 and 22 all where nice in there own right but my fav was a bas s10 stalker rifle. tuned and fac by john bowkett. 28 ftlb screwcut with carbon over barrel mod. pellet on pellet at 50 yards super consistant to. lovely rifles
  4. as above but before placing the net down make sure there is no bits of twigs or leaves round the hole. i clean them out the way. just one less thing for the net to get stuck on. if the rabbit hits it. seen it before rabbit hits net and the thing didnt shut right becasue some twigs was in the way./ make sure the peg is in the ground firm to

  7. im guessing the winchester is just the manufacturer that made the 243 cal and took it into production
  8. what you looking to put it on bob243 Hi Jamie, I've just put it on my .22LR but not used it yet, I've had it for 4 or 5 years now but never used it on anything, so I dug it out and thought I'd give it a go, it's a 3.5-10x50. I was just curious to know if anyone else had one, as I never see anything about them on forums, there always seems to be plenty about Hawke, Bushnell, Simmons etc. When I was a kid it was all BSA, air rifles, shotguns etc, and it was top quality to me, I bought my first shotgun at age 15 in the 60s, it was a BSA Snipe single barrelled shotgun, and I was so proud.
  9. the it wont matter if its not the latest one but the newer one will have more info and be more uptoday on loads and stuff. nostler do a good one to
  10. 22lr is good up to 100 yards once you no the hold over. and has more then enough power still left. its more about placement at that range. 75 to yards is about the best tho
  11. i dont think your get 243 right away and unlikely get a centrefire right away. some people do others dont. wait a couple of months and apply again if you dont. i would get 22lr and 223 if it was me
  12. most of the top brand rifles that are blued have very good blueing on them. i got my annie wet last night not from rain but from wet fog in the air. it was soaked. just get it home wipe the access water off it leave it at room temp for 30 mins then wipe over with good cleaner like the browning stuff. put it in cabinet and job done. i checked mine this morning to make sure it was ok. and it was spotless
  13. some people relaod different. most people i no work up till they get presure signs or stiff bolt then they back off to find sweet spot. once that is sorted they have a go with col to find sweet spot again. i think it can get to much and sometimes be happy with what you got. otherwise your spend more time doing different loads then using the barrel for vermin control. if your target shooter then thats a different matter
  14. i have the redding big boss 2 press got it from reloading soultions nr kidllington. aftab the owner is very friedley and willing to help out. and even match other prices or beat them. he let me have the big boss 2 press for the same price of the older big boss 1. there isnt really any difference apart from a tube to catch the spent primers. you get that or the rockchucker and you wont be sorry. as for powder benchmark is one of the most popular powders for 223 give that a try its fast burning to so will get good fps out of it. if your worried about bullet break up get the nostler bullets
  15. Cheers Jamie. what you looking to put it on bob243
  16. cheap make ammo is worth trying if its accurate in your rifle then your on a winner. imo its ok for some fun on range or a long range shooting day. but thats about it. why buy a top rifle and put shit through it.
  17. save your money and get something abit more up market mate. there ok but not that good under lamp to be fair. my old man had one on a air rifle and to be fair it wasnt that bad. but for rimfires not that good
