    I'm really starting to like the pro sport just a little bit more than the others now and can see me ending up with one,got a while to think though as I'm saving and starting to wonder which calibre now!!

    Can't beat a bit of squirrel hunting when you get a chance,hard and testing targets,need some patience to get three like you have so I'd say they are well earned you know? I was roost shooting last week and in the spinney where we were sat up I was scanning the trees for squirrel,old habit I suppose but can't help it!

    Got out for a few hours the other day with the intention of decoying a few pigeons and crows that are causing some trouble around a certain area of the farm,we got there and put up a hide and put out a pattern and got ready,well nothing came any where near and wasn't much moving around excpet into a little spinney on our left,change of plan I suggested so we upped our gear and sat up in the trees at more or less and end each as this wood is tiny but a good location as its right where four fields meet and has a hopper in it,in the next two hours we'd bagged five pigeon and missed a couple that

    Good thread this one and some good advice offered,you can see the honesty and how genuinely people want to help,these lads won't lose anything if someone else squanders their hard earned! But if you think about it why buy a new rifle for xx amount when you could get a top end one worth twice as much for the same? The top ones are that for a reason so if you want a keeper then it seems an easy decision...

    If you are keeping the ferrets and are still keen and have a mate willing to go with you I'm assuming you'll keep all your gear? If somewhere does come along you'll be ready at the drop of a hat,I completely understand how you feel and would be pretty confident in saying a few of us have been there at some point,I don't have a perm of my own and have to tag along but know a few bits of land through other people that I may be able to get on so live in hope!

    Totally understand about this making you want one more so,wanted and been kind of saving toward another springer myself and have a short list of probably four and when you see posts like this it really does make you want that little bit more!
