  1. No idea mate, Since the site format was changed a few years ago i can not even see when anyone was last active.
  2. You need therapy old boy Lol
  3. Isn't that the truth and can be applied to most things in life.
  4. A lot of it happens mate, There was a guy on here, I think he was anyway Lol, He was rehabilitating a Golden Eagle chick that had been found injured, He was raided by the RSPCA and police, The bird and others were seized, The eagle chick ended up in one of the so called Wildlife rescue centre's, It died a few months later. Autopsy concluded lead poisoning. It turned out they were feeding it rabbits shot using lead cartridges, Then they tried to blame the bloke they took it from, The world has gone nuts Lol
  5. I have no doubt that's what they were, They were just totally lost with no idea what to do.
  6. I struggle with wearing a watch, when i was younger the digital ones were coming into the market place, The ones with the black screens and when you pressed the button on the side the time glowed up in red. I got one for Christmas by boxing day half the lines that made up the numbers had stopped working, After returning it to the shop and getting replacements a couple of times i gave up with that style, I tried a normal watch, within days the inside of the glass either fogged up or else they just stopped working. Even now the only way i can wear a watch is if the strap goes under the back of t
  7. I kid you not and you could see it had been amputated Lol
  8. you probably wont believe this but years ago my dogs had one with three legs, One of seven in less than a week. all daytime in the same area, The Tawney owls that have been released will just be bullied out by the resident owls, That's if they are even fit enough to catch prey to survive,
  9. I was fishing at a place last week, I was talking to the lady that ran it whilst waiting for my breakfast to be cooked, She was proudly telling me how she had teamed up with some wildlife rescue centre and that they were releasing stuff onto her land, This place is roughly 70 acres with mixed woodland, half a dozen ponds a big lake and the canal also borders it. She was telling me how in the last week they had releases 3 Tawney owls and 2 fox's. i tried to find out if these were truly wild animals that had only spent a short amount of time in captivity, She had no clue, Surely someone would ha
  10. Birds can do weird things mate, I once kept a colony of Zebra finches, The parents would rear there young up to a point then completely abandon them to starve or else they would just build a new nest on top of them and lay a fresh clutch of eggs, I was watching something the other week over about Australia where there was this flock of tens of thousands of parakeet's all flying together, a bit like starlings do over here, Apparently they never fly into each other. The reason being, They only ever turn right when flying in flocks.
  11. A good while ago a couple of shooting lads gained permission on land that bordered the land i had at the time, I met them one day and we were discussing fox`s, I told them that there were two resident dog fox`s in the area and told them how to recognise them. I also explained that it would be helpful if they left these two dog fox`s alone as they both controlled there own territories and kept other dog fox`s away, There had been very few problems with fox`s for years in this area. They shot both in there first week, Next the area was inundated with fox`s trying to take over there territories,
  12. Apparently them Bamboo boxers can solve that problem. watched the advert on TV earlier Lol
  13. For sure the hunting ban opened up a lot of land to shooters who had no chance of getting on there whilst the hunt were running on it. Yes Thermal imaging and night vision scopes have also increased the amount they shoot. But equally the land is being developed at a rate that has never before been seen in this country. Fox`s adapt and as there habitats change so do they. I went out one night around here with Simoman off here, that day the Hunt had been out on neighbouring land, we counted 7 fox`s in one field alone plus god knows how many others that night, There not daft and soon adapt.
  14. There's no better dog in my opinion around a rabbit hole when ferreting than a whippet. Lamping, its horses for courses and depends on the type of land your dogs are running on, All you can do is attempt to improve on the limitations your dog has with breeding, Not easy as genetics are not black and white and i hope they never will be Lol
  15. Anyway a bloke is due soon to buy a car, Yes in the dark. I did tell him Lol I'm out of here
  16. And we wonder why there's so many disagreement's about whippets, The Irish are terrible Lol

    Moon

Luna moon. Watch out for the Lunatics Lol
  18. Your over thinking this, just buy the best you can find Lol
  19. Don't even look at them spindly useless fookers
  20. Something i have never understood is why not just call them whippet/greys instead of non ped whippets, I can remember seeing some Barrow whippets years ago, Looked much the same as that dog in your picture.
  21. Not in this case sadly, The owner was a complete wanker and the dogs life ended because of it,
  22. Now i look at that and i see a whippet/greyhound of some description, Nice looking dog though. He may well win over 150 yards but how would he do over 50 yards? Lol
  23. No idea. He belonged to a mate of a mate. On that sort of ground he was mustard, Any larger ground and i think he would have struggled but turn, i have never seen a dog turn as quick even to this day, He came to a very sad end but that's another story that's best left in the past Lol
  24. The best rabbiting whippet i have ever seen was a little 18" TTs one called Dino, No idea on breeding but this thing was insane, At the time we lived on an estate that had a landfill directly behind it, They covered it over and grassed it and turned it into a park, Short grass and nearby cover equals impossible rabbits Lol This thing made catching them on there look like it was just playing.
  25. What you should have spotted is the straight back on the race one, The hooped back on the pedigree one is what causes them to suffer with spinal issues as they age. it also effects there balance when turning.
