Starting with a Spar is not the best option even though i did exactly that as a kid, Took it from the nest too early. turned into a mal imprint, screamed its fuckinh head off every time it spotted a human. Even ended up making a soundproof box for it. But once out hunting it was totally silent, I took all sorts with that bird from racing pigeons to teal. The normal is to start with a Harris but that means you will be stuck with it for the next 35 years plus unless you pass it onto the merry go round just like dogs really.

mid 1980`s Sennelager range in west Germany Had a large population of wild pigs. Why is it when people go hunting rabbits weather that be by day or by night. be that with dog, ferret of gun they wear camo gear, i was always told that rabbits were colour blind and movement, scent and noise were more of a predator signal than colour?

They are very accurate as its a match barrel However the CZ is more accurate than most shooters will ever be and takes less faffing about to keep its accuracy, it also costs significantly less, But as they say Horses for Course's and all that,

People like to feel they are voting FOR something or more importantly someone its in there DNA mate. I hear and fully understand but the herd mentality really is as strong today as it was in the beginning.

I think for the majority to understand what you are saying, There would need to be an alternative to vote for otherwise it would still be the same outcome but just with reduced numbers. The sad thing is there is no alternative at this time, Funnily enough we use to have alternatives with our energy suppliers, now they have all be binned and we are left with the original big 5 or 6, strange that!.

In 22lr a CZ will still be shooting long after you or me have been planted, I had a 1517 walnut thumbhole in 17hmr and found, whilst it was more accurate than i could ever be it needed far more attention to keep its accuracy than the CZ i had in the same calibre. just my observations, some may disagree.

Accompanied the Mrs today to a local supermarket, Well i only went because they were doing 2 crates of beer for £20 if i am being honest. Anyway walking round and i happened to look at the big bottles of vegetable oil, £10.99 i kid you the f**k not. The deep fat fryer is on marketplace as we speak. This situation with food basics price increases is getting out of hand now.

The problem with static decoys is, after a short period of time they become the norm and everything ignores them, well in my opinion anyway.

Mate of mine a few years ago. He lived in the centre of the village i live in, His house was surrounded by other houses, He had 2 smallish ponds with koi in some where quite large. Over the course of several weeks he found 2 of the large fish on the side of his ponds in the mornings, we suspected a cat, set a cat trap to no avail, we were coming back from lamping in the early hours one morning and a we spoked a heron from his garden, Here's another one to watch out for, i sat fishing a couple of months ago and watched a pair of crows pull 2 fish out of the commercial i was fishing.

Remember Herons also feed throughout the night more so in built up areas, so it may be you would never see it.
