The thin gortex top layer I suppose is great if your walking around doing fcuk all, but what about going through a bramble hedge backwards?? Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks fcuking useless for getting down & dirty amongst things?

Tbh at the breakfast buffet at any European hotel you are going to be hard pressed to find quality bacon full stop & that goes for british hotels as well......

When in Rome & all that! When I'm in spain I'm not thinking of a bacon sandwich from England or a full English breakfast! Yes they do great pork, just not how we have it. This is obviously about providing bacon for tourists in a hotel...... Don't beat yourself up mate. You still have value!

Some of the best bacon I used to get was from Jimmy Doherty's place, that was just up the road from me, but christ you had to pay for it!

I fry good or bad out of laziness really, but yeah the good stuff won't fill your pan with shite, obviously grilling isn't the same problem, so you can get away with anything.....

It is very interesting, I agree....& I'm all for outing a bit of hypocrisy, even when it's my own.... I clearly understand the difference, but if you're going to kick off with a certain tone at the beginning, then a slight climb down doesn't make the difference convincing.

There's point a where you are doing what you think is right & then there is taking advantage of a new found freedom & situation to do what you want. Putting a bullet in someone, even as an execution over a pit is one thing, but rape of women & underage girls & needles torture is taking advantage of the freedom to behave like an animal, a monster if you like. Classic is a very overused description. That's kinda the point of the thread, not what I think are classics. Yeah I pretty much agree on Kurtz lines. That had a profound effect on me when I watched it all those years ago. You're not letting your genocide point go, are you mate?
